Dasilva is good around the halfway line and decent enough defensively, but I’d wouldn’t have him LW. I don’t think I’ve ever seen JD have a shot? He’s not really a player that bursts to the byline to whip balls in either.

Yeah it’s obvious we need more quality in our batting but I think Root’s captaincy could improve. As a test side, we’re nowhere near ruthless enough. That stems from the captain and the coaches…

They’re unbearable.

We’re just a shambles of a test side. Haven’t had the right balance for years in our batting line up, re-selecting poor players to make it work. Balance, Jennings, Sibley, Lyth, Carberry, Robson, Stoneman… to name a few.

Something has to change.
