Been following City for a long time and one partnership that spring to mind is Kalas and Webster. They played well together and were rated by those who played against them.

I really did not rate Webster when he was with us

Scott and Benarous will hopefully still be at Bristol City then. Atkinson and HNM as above but doubt hardly any of the current starters will be at city. One thing I am positive about is we have some good young players coming through.

One thing I hope is we have won a home game by then . :laughcont:

High expectations expecting a home win ever ?

Firstly, it’s a penalty. Their bloke trips Scott, who might tumble theatrically but it’s a foul, so it’s a penalty & if the ref really thinks not, then why doesn’t he book Scott for diving?

So if we score that (not a given with our record, though as we are coming up to a year since we had one in the league then that isn’t based on too much), we are 2 up & I reckon we’d have held on.

Secondly their winner is as clear a handball as you can get, poor by Bentley, we also should have done far better to stop the cross but I can’t believe that it was given.

None of this excuses the result but we could certainly do with the rub of the green in a game at BS3.

Totally agree on both points. But when it's not going your way that's how desicions go . Over all pretty impressed with city's performance and I did like Martin and wells  together up front

They should also of had a penalty so i think they evened themselves out.

There penalty appeal was no way a penalty, ever.

    Therein lies the issue.

This squad sucks at actually playing football. It's kind of important at this level.

Theres a reason we try and play on the counter.

Yes I kept thinking last season. Why do you play so  crap ? We are a decent side. Yes I proved  wrong we where a crap squad. So this season I think ahhhhhh yes we a much better team this year. So why do we keep losing silly games at home  ?

or have I missed the glaring point ? That we still a crap squad ?

To be fair that's a poster on OTIB saying that not Pearson himself. He comes across to me as knowing exactly what he's got himself into and IF (big if obviously) he gets it right this job could well rank up there amongst his greatest achievements, in fact it would be full stop given where he is starting from. I think that's how he sees it - we aren't a club for the faint hearted, that's for sure.

Yes he if gets us sorted and too the prem. That's some job by NP. And will be well beyond his past achievements

It’s was absolute suicide for him taking this job and I’m amazed he even bothered, let’s face it we’d be lucky to get anyone with any calibre to replace him!

The mess left by LJ and MA and overseen by SL is nothing short of a disgrace, no money, no prospects, league 1’s a certainty and it’s not the fault of the manager!

Yrs he took a difficult job, yes the entire club had a bad working system, yes the playing staff was not good enough.

    But suicidal, why ?

It is the job and u sure he will succeed. But it's a 5 year job not 3

Were Palmer and O’dowda really the subs to make in the closing stages of the game?
surely Pring and Bakinson would be better to close the game out? Just seemed like strange subs to me.

Yes now that is a good point. Mind attack best way to defend tactic.

Not so sure. I think a manager can surely help especially late on in the game. Feels like he is hiding away.

Ok we will have to fifer on thoughts if that. But your comment that he is hiding away is interesting because surely a ms a football manager there is no where to hide from results

If only we had a manager on the touchline who could try and bark orders and organise.

Surely the players should have a game management plan practiced and trained on for bringing games home in the final minutes. I do not see the manager or coach's having a great effect from the touchline in these situations. The players need to better and better as a team. It's all down to the players in the pitch to me.
