Not sure SL is interested much beyond giving playboy a day job! City have funds without having to knock on SLs door so I’m confident JL will open up what he can to justify his awful decision making only relying on daddy when he ***** it up!
Okies red. I did not think SL had that much trust, faith, in JL.
Always struck me as a numpty in a suit

As Manning made pretty clear on Radio Bristol yesterday, we are trying to sign a striker and it’s not lack of funds, or the willingness to part with them, that is frustrating us.
Okies, I did not catch the LM interview. well that sounds positive.
But I have no doubts in the Jan. window that a striker of the quality we are after Will be difficult to source and not at a sensible price .
But hey. you never now. Fingers crossed
I am starting to see something on the pitch which is gives me a feeling of optimism. But 1/2 proven championship players and the not for sale sign needs to go up on our current squad

With a new striker added.
Okays let's be sensible here
Is SL really Going to fund a championship ready 20 goals striker before the end of Jan ?

For the first time in a few years, the key thing is that we don’t need to sell anyone.
For once, if we can reject offers and add 2 or 3 quality, Championship-ready/experienced players, I think we will be even more competitive, giving us the best chance in years of getting into the top 6
Yes good point.
How long is Pring's contract ?
-
Really enjoyed tonite we had a real go and I felt Forest just did not like it one bit. We are still a side in development with LM and his project and players returning from injury. So zi just feel have to see the positives and the form and goals will come. But I don't expect to happen early enough for a serious push up the league this season. Oh is there news of Forest tickets yet ?
-
Yes loved Pring tonite, all defence in fact. I thinks premier interest for Pring would feel they could improve his final ball issue. Think he could be gone this summer

Totally agree, but we could pick an XI and play a formation that suits Wells and Conway by dropping the box midfield. For example, 3-4-1-2: Max; Tanner, Vyner, Dickie; McCrorie, Knight, James/Williams, Pring; Twine; Wells, Conway.
But it seems that's not the LM formation so it's not happening any time soon. But.......... thought.........
Did not BT/suits did say he is expected to play football they want ?
So if they want two up front ?
What then ?

Happily sat outside cafe Weston high street enjoying my morning chai. And behold people in Nottingham forest shirts. Happy family lot, but just surprised.
They better not over fill the X1 tonight

Me and the boy unable to attend tonight. He is currently in hospital after a big operation. He did make me laugh though, when he came round he was chatting nonsense as expected, and he blurted out the gas lost dad.
Come on City
Best wishes to your boy. Hope you both back at the gate soon

Not being funny but that would be a totally logical next step to take . He’s clearly run out of steam with Club management and needs a break from it . Letting Southgate oversee the Euros with Klopp taking over later this year seems a perfect fit !!!! I’m off to the bookies sharpish !!!
Yes that seems a win win for England.
But how does it look after we win the Euros this summer ?

Can he replace Southgate ..... Please!
Interesting thought. But does it time with Southgate end of contract. Can not see them sacking Southgate . And would Klop really want the poisoned chalice of the England job

Just asking for a friend.
But what country do you need to bring to enable free access.
And is our football viewing status being checked and to be used against us in future ?
Just saying

The issue in comparison to the previous three games we won is, imo, at least three of those teams are good enough to have a go at us and batter us if we don't turn up. If someone offered me four points from those four games and no need to play them I would snap their hand off.......maybe I should have more faith, we'll see!!
Yeah 4 points be good. I am.mot sure I see it mind but who knows
Friday anything could happen, we must not let the cup game effect our league results.

I was surprised Manning changed formation v West Ham but I can only assume he wanted to try something different given the consecutive performances v Birmingham, Millwall and Preston and no goals scored. But given it went well as you say, it wasn’t really a surprise that he went with it again v Watford.
Entirely agree. Suspect we’ll see different formations if fit players allow.
Yes it's going to be a see what works best. Then you get the option to change players and formations Game by game. Which is a bit LJ and just does not let the team get a common playing style.
I have no doubt we will see games where it works and games we wonder why we bother
Oh I do love following the City

Dave, what makes think this has anything to do with LM?
Yes could be the suits not want him
-
Was he not seeking coaching continuation of contract under NP?
With still registered to play if needed ?
Does LM not want him or the suits want his wages else where ?
-
I enjoyed the Watford performance. I felt the whole team showed a lot of work rate and endeavour to play attacking football against a decent Watford team. I feel LM is still finding his feet and with a new man in Twine and our injury list starting to return for duty . It gives LM a nice problem on team selection. I think it is going to be interesting yo see how it develops. I do feel managers and players need to be able to change formations and tactics mid game often getting the players brave and competent enough to make these decisions mid game. That's your really good sides in my book.
Looking forward to the rest of the season and always hopeful for upcoming cup game.

I am always happy to see how far Zak has come and the first choice player he had now become. But since NP has gone he just not seem do on his game to me. He used to have the problem of poor distribution and giving the ball away. And that has been seen again in a couple of games. I hope he can tighten up again

He isn't fit yet is he?
Am trying to work a side with the current likely available players and working on the basis that Sykes will be fit and match fit before Atkinson or Naismith.
Okies
I let you off then ?
