  1. I am assuming it's something that will be addressed with the expansion project but it's going to be false economy to wait that long in my opinion. On match days wouldn't it make sense to add a stall outside, in amongst the Fanzone? There is an area almost opposite the shop, behind the stage where a market style stall could be added.
  2. They need to soundly thrash the Qatar team, it will be seen as a metaphor for the tournament itself. FIFA need to be shown that you can't just "impose" football on a nation, it needs to grow organically. I think the referee will be a busy man though, the players representing Qatar (as opposed to Qatari players) will be desperate to show commitment to the cause. It will also be a test for the validity of FIFA's own world rankings, which currently has Qatar above teams such as Ghana, Iceland, Finland, Northern Ireland and a few others that would be better known.
  3. The strangest thing is that they have a pinned thread on their forum all about attendances and predictions of them. It's such a weird obsession, I love going to see the City play and it's great there are lots of others there enjoying it too, but I still loved the City and enjoyed going when there were 6000 in the bottom division. How many other fans are in the ground has never swayed my own support.
  4. I would have never have guessed that there were so many countries with less home grown players than Qatar. That's a real eye opener, thank you.
  5. Two Become One - Spice Girls (Sorry, took the easy route )
  6. I think we have Andy King doing a similar, maybe even better job, for a fraction of the wages.
  7. You lie, I heard that nice summariser man on Radio Bristol say, "the goal has got 9000 Gasheads singing loudly". It must be true......
  8. What a great website! I looked up the Fiat Strada because I remember it being "European Car of the Year". You may remember both the advert and the Not the Nine O'clock News sketch. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=Fiat+Strada
  9. The best scenario is for Ghana to get 4 points minimum from the first two games, with Antoine maybe getting off the bench, then he gets a full 90 in the third (dead rubber) and has a stormer to get himself in the picture for the next game(s) .
  10. Yeah, but we all know what happens when you invite feedback. You get "Boaty, McBoat Face" Best not to put things in front of a group sometimes.
  11. I am not sure on the timeline, but I feel like it disappeared quite quickly after they played it for a "goal" that was disallowed.
  12. The pundits on MOTD made the point that the timing of the WC has made it really hard for players that might be going. It's understandable that it would be in the back of their minds, and from what we can see across the Prem, he certainly wouldn't be the only one. Mind you at $40,000 a day you could say he has down the club a big financial favour by ensuring he has stayed fit.
  13. I see their Youth team lost an "epic game" 4 -3 to the mighty Leyton Orient, but apparently should be"prowed". The Bristol Live team are so far up their arses, you have to wonder whether money is changing hands.
  14. Because they are idiots.
  15. I disagree, that's not what he needs. He went there to toughen up, he appears to have done that and we know he has the talent. Let's get him back, maybe even in January as we have a recall. He's in form and popular and the Manager has been complaining about the lack of depth in the squad. He's 20 now, time to stake a claim.
  16. Exit (Music For a Film) - Radiohead
  17. Nude Spoons (Euphoria) - The Associates
  18. So I would have to drive past it from Portishead to get to AG, only to get a shuttle back? @Shuffle, I take it your directions are "from Bristol"?
  19. The cynic in me says just in time for the £50bn in Gov spending seeing it shelved. Slash and burn economics at its best.
  20. Alec was one of my fathers favourite players over the years too, he said he was the first player he ever saw score a goal with an overhead kick and that he would have been a modern number 10 in today's football. I got to meet him and his wife and talk football a fw times in the 90's as he was a regular (small) customer in the casino that I worked in at that time. Very polite and obviously his long time in Bristol meant that you would never guess he was German, if you didn't already know.
  21. Generally agree with you, although not sure about the one highlighted from what I have been told. Benarous might be a better example.
