Really, who and why?

Your last point was one I made when he was suggested before with SL looking for investment it could be a good move for him.

I am not so sure, there are elements to his character that are similar to Mark Ashton, he likes to be in the thick of things and in front of the camera. He also has some odd ideas, I won't forget him trying to add overseas games to the Premier League calendar for example. It would depend whether SL feels that Gould has steadied things enough for us to get back on the front foot a bit more.

I have just seen it, the weird thing is he never looked like he wasn't going to catch it. Both hands too, incredible judgment. It never ceases to amaze me what human beings are capable of, it will take a huge leap in technology to get a robot to do that.

I will be very disappointed if it isn't someone called Potts.

A "not your day" dismissal.

He might have better luck forcing people into a corner than the Indian authorities...... ?

Aaron Collins seems unlikely to be "cool" in anyway, but if you wanted confirmation of that, the accompanying picture to that article makes him like the least "cool" person in the country.

3-2 now, Acey and Morrison on at HT, Bell sets up Leeson to score. Backwell now on for Knight-Lebel so going for goals. Henry on for Bell, scores.

At the risk of getting this moved into the General Chat forum (probably should be really). I have never felt he was a top vocalist anyway, he's a good showman and can hold a tune, and in my opinion he hasn't got any worse. Having lived with a Robbie fan for his whole career the songs are generally easy enough on the ear, the two exceptions are Come Undone which is startingly good and could potentially make it into my top 100 songs, and Candy which is almost unlistenable and had me covering my ears. Anyway, of the 21000 there I would say 99% that had a great time, 0.9 of us found it a good night and then there was the girl in front of us who spent the night on Instagram and Whatsapp and barely looked at the stage.

No I am assuming that the ones booking into the hotel are not Mancunian. By the way as a last note on this, here is an exchange from the gig last night when Robbie picked out a lady in the crowd. Robbie: I keep seeing your smile and it's great, what's your name? Lady: Tracy Robbie: Where have you come from Tonight? Tracy: Portsmouth Robbie: ****! That's a long way isn't it? Robbie: Ah well, you can probably get a lift back with the Man U fans. Big cheer and a round of applause from the crowd.

Fair enough, just looking at them in the bar, I have a feeling I will be seeing some half and half scarves in the foyer tomorrow.

I am taking my wife to see Robbie Williams in Manchester tonight (all sympathy gratefully received :l) The hotel we are staying in is full, it's about 1/4 of a mile from the venue. The thing is, it's not all Robbie fans, a large number of the people here have Utd shirts or scarves etc, confirming that age old conception that most of their fans don't come from Manchester at all.

Sorry mate, but your post seems somewhat rambling at best and without context, without knowing what you are referring too, it's difficult to decipher. -

As The Verve once sang. "Now the drugs don't work They just make you worse" -
Up in Manchester for a couple of days and came across this plaque in Mosley Street. I thought some of you might be interested.

We seem to be the only game missing on the Sky highlights round up. -

But, although the hosts stepped up their efforts after the break, they still could not manage a single effort on target, until Swift's right-footer flicked off the bar five minutes into injury time. Is @Olé right or the BBC? Where the BBC are definitely wrong is in wording it in such a way as to suggest that hitting the woodwork is a shot on target.
