  1. They have a whole thread dedicated to attendances and a competition across the season, which I find bizarre. Someone on there claimed the attendance was 8000 including 500 from Blackpool, and asked where everyone was from Wednesday. They were immediately labelled as a though.
  2. The period after the penalty was poor, the singing stopped just when the players needed picking up as it always seems to. Other than that it wasn't too bad, but then I am on the edge of Section 82 so it always sounds loud when they get going.
  3. Where did you find that? I can't see it anywhere online. Credit where it's due though, the first league attendance over 10,000 in how long? And you know that the away support only come to see the Gas, so they count as well. Oh the irony of their gates finally increasing as they plummet down the table.
  4. I am very pleased you are not in charge then. Is that right? How many more goals have we conceded since NP left? Genuine question. As for Zak yesterday, people seem to forget there are two teams on the pitch and I thought Watford's press was excellent and I thought Williams didn't do him or Dickie any favours by blocking passing lanes but not offering an alternative. That also had the knock on effect that Max had to go back to those punts out to Cam or Ross which look really bad when they don't come off, and nobody notices when they do.
  5. Lovely header too. Probably should have scored a second in the second half though. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/13052720/newport-county-1-0-wrexham-league-two-highlights
  6. It's weird, as far as I can see their crowd is the only one not on the BBC pages, what are they hiding? Will they have more than Newport County in League 2 (9500+)?
  7. Promotion chasing gas ©Bristol Live, 15 points off promotion and 11 off relegation places.
  8. Funny how players suddenly seem to find space in the box when the delivery improves.
  9. I agree with that stupid song, who on earth thought that was ever a good idea? I like the bounce though, especially on a cold day, I often wish they would wait until the game is obviously won though.
  10. One thing I think looks different about our set up is the roles of Manning and Hogg. It has seemed common over the years that the Manager stays slightly away from the players, an has a more serious role, where as the coach is that link between the players and the Manager. Looking at these videos, Hogg looks the more serious and business like of the two while Manning is all smiles, chatting and joking with the players.
  11. It's not nailed on though is it kid? Unless things have changed since Wednesday.........
  12. How long do you have to do something before it becomes synonymous with your fanbase? I wonder if there were fans in the '60's moaning that Drink up thee cider, "has nothing to do with football and is making us look like embarrassing stereotypes"?
  13. Not the way it was sung the other week it wasn't. Anyway @steviestevieneville was talking about "hard core ultras", my point was that "bubbles" doesn't come into that category either.
  14. Well the West Ham fans can't talk, those pathetic bubble machines look like something from a kids party and the song that goes with it is possibly the most cringe worthy after that Irene dirge. I wouldn't worry about what opposition fans think, they are hardly going to stand and applaud us are they?
  15. What because we aren't dumb enough to turn our backs on the game?
  16. Straight into the first team? Really? That's a leap.
  17. Actual footage of him when the bouncing starts.
  18. Rob A's first full session for a while too. Hopefully some U21 minutes for him soon.
  19. When their attendance drops back down to its usual sub 8k, the one thing that won't be able to bring themselves to say is "ah well the Shit were at home so that will have affected our crowd". The stupid thing is, they might have kept some of the floating voters if they had thought about it. Take a leaf out of our book, £10 an adult £5 a kid in our new "stand", but no, they are charging pretty much the same as we are for a Championship game against a side with a reasonably high profile. It's airs and graces again no matter who is in charge, they can't bring themselves to think about how they could potentially pull in a few extra supporters by recognising that they are less of a draw so need to make themselves more attractive.
  20. Do people still believe this is a thing?
  21. Apparently has been "beasting it" in the gym, so know wonder he looks so big. A friend of mine who is an Aberdeen supporter said he hardly recognised him the other night, he's filled out that much.
  22. I think VAR has highlighted some of grey areas in the rules. Offside for example would only be given where it was clear and obvious, and even when people analysed it after they would often say, "well, he's level at best, but it's difficult for the linesman". Now it's taken apart frame by frame and that apparently means it's now "obviously offside", which it never was. To me, if it's "clear and obvious" the decision was wrong then it should take 15-30 seconds to show that. If it takes longer then it's not clear and obvious (the original reason for VAR), and the game should continue.
