We played good football the season with the cup win, MU. Then lose Wolves home in the leauge and from there not good. Liked LJ but could never understand or accept that he played COD before Eliasson. Eight days a week Niclas a better player then COD. LJ said COD was better in defensive play, kind of humor. Eliasson had more assists in one season then COD all his years in City.

We played the best without Diedhiou when he was injured. When he came back we lost the high press and fast slick passing. But not sure how long Patterson and Reid could've kept up their game as the season went on.

If palmer and kalas both end up leaving that is  potentially 11 million pound we have parted with to receive possibly 1 million back from kalas .

Plus the 5m+ for Diedhiou, couple of million on Nagy . Big lose on just 4 players in a year or so

Anyone but Leeds, their fans are unbearable.

My ex boss was a Leeds fan. Every day he'd go on about how class most of the players were, Bielsa was brilliant, how everyone loves watching Leeds etc. Did my head in.

Great win.  Pickford outstanding.  It’s Dirty Leeds for the drop for me.

I looked at the table a couple of weeks ago and thought Leeds could get dragged into the drop zone. Tricky run of games. If it's not Everton then Leeds would be great to go down

Watching the PJ Trophy Final, Sutton are like City.

They played open attacking football and looked the better team. During the seven minutes of stoppage time however, they conceded an equaliser.

Hopefully they don't win so we won't have to hear that awful song again!

Burnley or Watford I imagine. If they did go down how quick would they return? Would they follow the path of Newcastle and West Ham? Or Villa ....?

I'll say Watford. With Roy in charge you know there's always a chance of him pulling off good results to save them

Exactly - I strongly remember LJ and Elliot being the mainstay of that midfield. I can still remember the regular team now..

Basso; Orr, Carey, McCombe, McAllister; Sproule, Johnson, Elliot, McIndoe; Byfield, Trundle (Adebola, Vasko, Noble, Murray often regular replacements).

Noble simply didn't get about the pitch enough to regularly start with Johnson or Elliot in a midfield 2, and wouldn't have been able to partner Trundle for the same reason.

As usual, it's RR's poor grasp of facts letting him down.

Totally forgot who Vasko was. Had to Google him!

Sports Weirdest Crime Podcast. Series 1 about Allan Stanford is brilliant as well

I watched the programme on sky about him recently. Really interesting how he got away with what he done for years.

It wouldn't surprise me if we sold Kalas in the summer and brought in a centre half who is a better organiser.  We'd probably save money overall and resolve our biggest problem in defence.

Bell having Kalas next to him probably didn't help, Klose next to him would've have helped to give instructions and advice. As I've said before on here I'm not the biggest fan of Kalas and I'm sure we'd get some just as good, better at organising and maybe a bit more street wise if you know what I mean. It's a shame about Baker as him and Klose would be a good pairing I think.

wtf is Kalas doing!!! Last but one picture - no need for him to move left

That's the main thing I picked up on as soon as that the final pass was made. Surely he knew he was there and he was the nearest player to him

Totally agree about Kala's. People on other threads last week saying how good he is and always putting his body on the line. I would prefer my CH to be on his feet reading situations and dealing with them before throwing himself in front of the ball.

I've said before I think we could get someone just as good for half his wages. He's good but not great at any particular attitude, except for throwing himself in front of the ball of that's one, but like you say he puts himself in those situations.

Been said many times elsewhere but tightening up a bit at the back would see us much better off than we are in terms of points & therefore league position. Not to mention us fans possibly feeling better too ?

It’s a cliche I know but I always go back to the saying that strikers win games and defenders win trophies.

Sky said we've lost over 20 points from winning positions this season.

I didn’t realise that our “goals for” was so high. There were points earlier in the season when it felt like we were unable to create chances, let alone score them.

The return of Semenyo has massively improved our forward play. At last there is a player to scare the hell out of opponents.

Also there’s Weimann - he’s been scoring and involved in setting up goals too, like our first last night. There was also his workrate in closing down the keeper that led to Semenyo’s volley that hit the post.

Weimann has been involved in just under half of our goals this season. Lucky for us he signed on in the summer.
