Shame Palace had a problem with the stream, it sounds like there were some good individual performances as well as a good team performance. Good to see Palmer-Houlden getting goals to go with his good build up work.

@Davefevs I was trying to think who he reminds of last time I saw him play, and I think it's a favourite of yours Cauley Woodrow.

He's a favourite of mine as well so if he's anything like him then great!

I sometimes go to the rugby.

Different sport yes but at the same time could not believe the electricity wastage.

Hot sunny day, afternoon kick off- lights on in all in stands- don't mean the concourses but  the srand itself- the bright hot sunny day, and the fact it was the afternoon, I would say easy enough to see and navigate with minimal stand lights on.

Even the Atyeo which is shut for most rugby games as it was that day, had them on throughout!!

    Different sport but same venue!

Probably something to do with health and safety.

Wtf is Bentley doing there? He's a major part of our defensive issues imo. So overrated because he makes the odd highlight reel reaction save. Hope Bajic is good enough to replace him in the near future

Said this last week. Need a change and quick. Must have an impact on defenders confidence knowing you don't have a keeper that can't deal with crosses as well as he should.

The one thing I would be critical on Lansdown is not one that I expect many people share the view.

    But

Given the training ground expense was outside of FFP I don't understand why he built a Championship and not Premier League level facility.

It's a big improvement on the previous facilities which helps with new players and potential new owners. Maybe he didn't want to put loads of his money into it but enough to make a good impression.

Is there room for potential expansion/upgrade if we get to the Premier league?

If you were to reverse the question and ask Wigan fans "Would you trade your Premier League years, FA Cup win, and European appearances for the midtable Championship stability of Bristol City?" then I think the response would be a resounding "Hell no".

In the case of Wigan, they haven't even fallen THAT hard. Since their relegation from the Prem in 2012/13, they've spent 4 seasons in League 1, and the rest in the Championship. Their average league finish in that time has been 23rd in the Championship. Comparatively, in that time we've spent 2 seasons in League 1 (and the rest in the Championship) with an average league finish of 18th in the Championship. We've done better than them, yes, but not significantly better.

Yeah they've probably faired better than most although didn't they have financial issues not too long ago?

Another through his legs too and I’d expect a ‘top’ keeper to do better with the first

he gets away with a lot from our fans (Imo).

I've made my feelings known about him for a couple of years now. There's a  reason why Brentford let him go. We've leaked goals constantly since he's been here despite changes in the back like, time for a new No1 long overdue. His only real competition has been Max who isn't really championship quality. Maenpaa was way better and shame be got injured.

There’s always gonna be a risk with foreign buyers (as well as with British) but I’d honesty be looking forward to it . Lansdowns been in charge for just over quarter  of a century and the amount of clubs smaller than us or the same size as us that have had some recognisable success is criminal.

As some say he might want what’s best for the club but he seems totally oblivious in actually moving the club forward. You can build as many shiny new stands as you like but it’s gonna mean absolutely nothing when we drop back down to league one but at least it looks good for concerts and the egg chasers .

I was thinking the other about other clubs who have had very mixed ups and downs in the time SL has been at the club.

As fans would we be happy if city had a similar recent history to the likes of Bolton, Wigan, maybe Bradford, Blackpool etc who have been in the Premiership, won the FA Cup like Wigan, had a season in Europe like a couple of them but then collapsed and on the brink while we've been fairly stable in the 2 leagues?

    Why surprised?

What about everyone that uses electric scooters in town...not a helmet on head to be seen...plenty of helmets though??

What would be funnier...if it were a training camp for boxers and they were wearing helmets on bikes.

    Funny ol' world ??

Yeah but these guys are on thousands a week so thought the club would make them , and it can only take a little fall or a car to hit them to cause some serious injury.

    A few observations:

    • Thought they looked sharp in the afternoon with the ball
    • Matty James striding it out in the beep test (or whatever version they call it)
    • Naismith vocal

What did Klose say to Naismith right at the end?

Pretty sure I heard him say that they're going to be very good friends.
