He’s shocking on the ball so slow predictable and immobile , just like all our other midfield options! The fact we’re having to start Andy King in 2024 is so embarrasing I actually felt sorry for him today his legs went about 2 years ago.

It would help if our midfielders faced the way they were playing more often, constantly Williams and King took the easy option passing it back to the centre halves without even thinking, it was as if the ball was a hot potato, James was exactly the same against QPR, more responsibility is needed

And last week people were saying we had too many points to go down.

this team looks broken ! The spirit and group ethic that was evident previously appears to be gone, quite a bit of squabbling on the pitch today to evidence this.

We are not out of the woods yet I’d say.

Of course we’re not, looks like 50 plus will be needed to stay up this season, where are those points coming from?

I was speaking with a local resident today who's friend's house backs onto that monstrosity. It completely overshadows their sightedness and we'll being. The majority of local residents absolutely detest what they've done.

I'm amazed how they've got away with it being so close to those houses, oh well, should make it easier for us should we want to enlarge the Atyeo

I am not seeing the number of tickets remaining for the away games, currently ipswich and wba,  is this a change to the display on the OS or is it just an issue with my view?

Up and running again, 140 left

And yet on another thread a respected poster is swearing blind that Pearson didn’t have to cope with more injuries than Manning. Both arguments can’t be true.

I don’t disagree that EY wasn’t showing he was ready - he was raw - he was still better than Mehmeti! But it’s the thematic again. We know that Liam reduced the size of the first team training squad, so less U21s are training with the first team (and hence get opportunity less).

You now add in the prospects going on loan at exactly the time he has opportunity to play them or see them in training (and yes, he will still train with us - but as he’ll be playing at Bath and training there twice a week he won’t be training here anywhere near enough for him to be developed by Liam or Liam to get a great handle on where he is).

As for the Medube argument (I know not your point) - it’s not just a poor half hour, it’s teammates actively not passing to him because they don’t trust him - that never happened with Yeboah (and I was one who said we needed to look at Medube over Yeboah but that trust level indicates he’s not winning the players over!)

Again, I don’t have a problem with the loan in isolation. But when you look at what Liam is supposed to be (a coach who develops young players) and what he’s supposed to need (time on the grass with the players), it doesn’t make huge sense.

But again, it’s the broader thematic over youth development/trust through Liams career that’s the real story this brings into focus.

Do you not think that playing men's football for Bath is not "developing" him ?

Without derailing this thread as there is already one on Medube.

    1. He is not new to this country

    2. He comes with a £1.75 million price tag round his neck.

    3. Our amazing talent spotting Head Coach wanted him for the here and now, despite no experience of mens football.

    4. OTIB posters didnt throw him in at the deep end without arm bands but our highly respected young Head coach did. We as fans saw and commented on the results of this idiocy.

HE'S PLAYED 30 MINUTES,  this forum is getting beyond a joke

Yes he is more than a good lad. He is a resilient brilliant lad who had his knock backs through youth football, took it on the chin, grafted and improved, joined the academy as a late and excelled.

He is a lad playing at pro and semi pro level. Playing versus adults in intense competitive football hones and sharpens technique. This intensity will produce more improvement  for Ephraim than playing U18

Agree 100% i love seeing the youngsters in the squad but if it's felt he's not ready yet then playing mens football at this level is the next best thing.

The podcast is actually entertaining for an hour. The boys have been doing it a while and it’s all streamed live on You Tube. @headhunter runs it. You can go on YT and just put in Forever Bristol City and listen to the last episode

I’m actually listening to sound of the City on radio drivel as I write. They really miss GT. It’s like a little friendly call in chat show. GT would have really asked the questions that need to be asked and had plenty of callers after the rubbish of the last week

This guy has a couple of people on who really add nothing to his show. Its not worth listening to anymore and it shows people aren’t tuning in.

Oh and thanks for having your picture taken with me in the Heineken V Leeds!

Haha, no idea who you were with against Leeds but it wasn't me, I was 800 miles away!!!! 😄

    Forever Bristol City podcast.

There are plenty of threads about it! In particular Ian whose anti Pearson agenda is legendary, (if rumors are to be believed fueled from inside the club by BT)

I think you should listen to some back episodes.

As for a small minority with an anti Pearson agenda from the start there were a few that posted here.

I bumped a thread for you.

Fair enough, I’m not sure that a  “podcast” would be my cup  of tea, I haven't listened to radio Bristol since GT left !!!!

I will never be able to figure out why there is a small but vocal minority of our fan base that have absolutely detested Nigel from day 1. Refuse to give him very little credit for the job he did and even up until the constant day are still making digs about him.

It's embarrassing that their support for Manning is simply because he is not Nige.

I can only guess that it's a masculinity thing.

You are mental, I don’t know a single person who detested NP let alone from day one, and I don’t know a single person who doesn’t think he did a decent job under difficult circumstances, I support Manning because he is our manager and deserves time just like NP had.

It was actually a really good performance from mostly squad members and kids (James, Knight Lebel and Yeboah all featuring out of necessity).   We even had more posession and better passing stats - something that seems to ‘excite’ a few on here about the current set up.

Nothing excites me to be honest pre or post Pearson, just wish people would get behind the new manager, i'm as frustrated as the next man with our constant inconsistency but i think it's crazy calling for his head after 3 months particularly when his record this season is no worse than NP's

I think most people who went / watched on RTV thought it was a spirited performance with a patched up team.

    BBCRB afterwards reflected that vibe.

For me, we were the better team in spells first half, gained control second half, was knocking on the door…but the strengths of each team’s bench won / lost it.  Cardiff brought on depth….Ugbo (remember him!), Colwill, Romeo and Wintle.  We brought on Conway at h-t, then Yeboah and JKL.

    We deserved a point imho.

It was a woeful and dull 90 minutes leaving us 15th in the table and the fifth defeat in 7 games, anyway i'm trying to stay out of all this nonsense but i've succumbed again, i need to stick to the laugh a minute Rovers thread 🙂
