  1. This is nothing to do with tactics, it's about 16 players who have barely strung 3 passes together
  2. The first time James has placed a ball forward and it's still bouncing down Winterstoke Road, he's been poor
  3. Personally i see him in a different light, he's done a lot of good things in his life despite the adversity, where did the chip on your shoulder come from ?
  4. A posted this on a previous thread, an interesting read: Martin was born in Brighton, East Sussex, to parents Dean and Kerry.[2] He has two older brothers, Jamie and David, and a younger brother, Pepe, while his parents also fostered. His father was a taxi driver who subjected Martin's mother to domestic abuse and had spent periods of time in prison. His father's gambling addiction saw the family lose their house in Hollingbury, moving to Hollingdean. Prior to signing with Wycombe he was cleaning pub toilets in the mornings prior to school, then working in Spar in the evenings.[4] Martin established a charitable foundation in his hometown of Brighton, initially set up as a football academy, named the Russell Martin Foundation.[5] The charity aims to use "the power of football to help change people's lives" by providing access to football, education, and health courses in the local community.[5] Martin has been a vegan since 2014, initially for health reasons as he sought to manage issues with ulcerative colitis.[6] He is also a part-owner of Erpingham House, the largest vegan restaurant in the UK.[7] In a 2018 interview, he stated that he had joined the Green Party of England and Wales.[7] He is also a proponent of Buddhism.

    The Run In

They seem to of overachieved every season since we came up together
  6. Exactly this, 2,000 is pathetic
  7. It seems on gas chat that a lot of them will just attend away matches instead, that could mean 10,000 locked outside instead of 5,000
  8. Totally un-related to Manning but thought i'd share this about Russell Martin, seems like he's had an eventful life quite different to his persona !! 9. Kids prices are woeful, no monthly D/D option either, that's bound to put many off
  10. Left our wreck of a rented van at Chester and caught the train home instead, most of my all time favourite away games came in the 80's up to '90, some fantastic memories, that Torquay game was a strange night for so many reasons
  11. They're up in arms on gas chat about these prices, many refusing to re-new, it's a great read
  12. I agree with practically everything you say and was clear in my point of view that i felt NP had taken us as far as he could, i wanted a younger and up-coming manager which is why i advocated Cooper and Martin when they were available causing much angst to many on here but my point was that we need to move on without NP's name constantly popping up in practically every other topic from the pro and anti NP camps, just for the record i was delighted when Manning was appointed, time will tell if my enthusiasm for him is justified but the early signs are promising
  13. Agreed, there are some right miserable bar stewards on here
  14. Or the baseball ground
  15. Maybe it's the same guy i know ?
  16. It isn't a great goal, it took a massive deflection otherwise it was going nowhere
  17. An amazing amount of empty seats, i really don't get it, it is a good point though that many stand up at the back or join section 82, also always surprises me how many just stand in the concourse for so much of the game
  18. I was one of the biggest voices in wanting and agreeing that NP should of gone but i have stopped trying to justify my opinion in any posts in the last month or so and have decided to not mention him as it causes too much division, might be wise for others to do the same and just get behind the new manager and leave out the snidey comments ?
  19. God help us if they are ever able to beat the likes of Fleetwood, Burton Exeter etc and actually make it to the Championship, we'll have to put up with this sort of nonsense, and worse, every week
