WBA v Cardiff has been moved from Tuesday 16 august

to Wednesday 17th August due the commonwealth games

which actually finish's on monday 8th August

Can get my head round this one although it would be a good reason to move it to the Sunday

Seems very random, only other thing I can think of is that the aquatics centre at Sandwell is using much of the surrounding area for parking and transport, possibly takes a while to put everything back to normal?

Please can somebody assist me. I am told that Leanne Infante (England scrum half) plays for Bristol. However I watched Bristol's end of season games and she did not play once. Was she injured or unavailable. Thanks for any help you can give.

I believe that she got injured at the start of March against Loughborough

But by offering cheap tickets to home fans on occasions we are hopefully attracting new fans. Short term it costs but a long term gain.  Away fans are different for obvious reasons

I guess it'll be interesting to see what the attendance is that day

I do agree with your point that hopefully it attracts new supporters but suspect pricing further into the season may be a bigger factor in some attending again

  4. Random question, I don't know if anyone has been to Wimbledon, but what surprises me is that some of the games later in the day have lots of empty seats. I don't understand why those sat on the hillside don't get admitted to fill the spaces?

If you have got that from what I’ve written then I have no words mate

May be not completely clear what I meant, but the argument must be the same, that if "we" want success at some point we have to contribute.

Surely we will lose more by our Sunderland offer than what we would by charging Reading fans less?

Possibly doesn't read as I mean it to come across

The umpire should just tell them it’s not about them.  Shouting ‘come on Cam’ half a second before he throws the ball in the air and screaming because you think a ball has gone out but the play is still going is certainly cringe.

You make it sound like it doesn't happen anywhere else, these are professional athletes that are used to it

Everyone wants everything from the club. Cheap everything and we are losing hundreds of thousands of pounds every week.  But they also want signings and to compete. We can’t have literally everything and if away fans pay £25-30 instead of £20 then I don’t think it would stop a massive percentage coming. That sort of price seems fair to me.  Every announcement seems to have get a moan unless it’s a signing

So charging £12.50 for mates rates against Sunderland is a bad thing for the club?

Why would the club charge away supporters less than home supporters ?

Unless they also decrease the cost for home supporters in a similar stand (South stand) to £20, I can't see the sense in it.

Burnley have a similar scheme costing £25 which is closer to reality/parity imo.

I wonder what we are charging Sunderland supporters?

  10. Nick Kyrgios has been charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari, with the Australian tennis star due in court. The Canberra Times reported that Kyrgios will appear in a Canberra court next month after the alleged attack took place late last year.

A statement from the police confirmed ‘a 27-year-old Watson man’ will appear in ACT Magistrates Court in August on a common assault charge. The statement read: “ACT Policing can confirm a 27-year-old Watson man is scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on the 2nd of August in relation to one charge of common assault following an incident in December 2021.”

The charge is said to be in relation to Kyrgios allegedly grabbing his former partner Passari and, if found guilty, he could face up to two years in jail.

Barrister Jason Moffett has confirmed his client was aware of the charge, and Kyrgios is taking the allegation ‘very seriously’. He told the Canberra Times : “It's in the context of a domestic relationship.

“The nature of the allegation is serious, and Mr Kyrgios takes the allegation very seriously. Given the matter is before the court ... he doesn't have a comment at this stage, but in the fullness of time we'll issue a media release."

The confirmation of his August court appearance comes just one day before his last-eight clash on the SW19 grass, as he takes on Cristian Garín on Wednesday.

Just put this on my Twitter, but got a new Bristol City/England flag made. Plan on taking it to the Euros, and then to Ashton Gate & the RHPC from the new season.

If it ends up on TV during any of the games, then that's a bonus!FW5wFkHWYAAnpw_?format=jpg&name=900x900

Hopefully see you at Wembley with it in a few weeks
