  1. It's a pity really, the whole damn show - can't blame Manning for taking the job & wanting to test himself.

He's out,way out of his depth & barley keeping his chin above water.

    Certainly concerned about next season!

I'll be surprised if he can see this year out.

Thank you for your pleasant reply.

Manning said "Unfortunately, the day after the Watford game felt his quad a little bit. Nothing major.

Started to increase his work back this week with the aim of playing tonight and felt it a little bit so he's probably gonna be out for a couple of weeks.

We've had it scanned, there's nothing major, it's more just an irritation that we don't wanna take a risk on"

So yea, we did appear to rush him back in my opinion.

    Am I reading this right????

Felt tightness post Watford, so the decision was to up his workload pre Coventry???

Either I need new glasses or I'm losing the plot 😆 👓 😳

On paper Cornick looked a decent signing, not working out for him here for whatever reason

Imo we see Atkinson, Twine & Sykes fit ( let alone the lesser spotted Naismith) then Cornick doesn't make the bench.

3 from the next 3 is a decent haul in isolation, but when that makes it 20 points from 17 games that’s pretty close to relegation form over a season from a good sample size. So yeah, I’m a touch worried about next season.

Ditto - no concerns this term as I see another ten points to be more than enough to see us through....

Summer window will be nerve wrackingly crucial.

I said pre game that 4 from 4 would have been an acceptable return (predicated on us playing well) and with 1 from 1, we’re on track. So I’m not unhappy overall.

    But…

    - I think Cov were below par and a bit there for the taking

    - The reason we didn’t was the wide men. Anis was abysmal, and I didn’t see any real threat until we went 2 up top. The real positive for me there was that it was LM trying to impact a game - the prior subs were scheduled and passive

    - Yes, absolutely Max should save the second. I think had we played more front foot earlier it wouldn’t be a factor but it was

Overall, fine. But I think being braver we could have had more.

Good to score more than 0 or 1.

Need to spend more minutes with two up top.

Mehmeti & Cornick need to be removed from the wage bill asap..frame it however you like,, bottom line not up to standard.

Very true. Bears also doing very well for crowds.

Amazing to think that we could do with adding more capacity to the Gate as things are going.

What next - top tier on the South Stand, replace the Dolman or Atyeo stands?

That trick may well have been missed with the refurb imo....

We are all aware that the Atyeo has it's limitations due to housing at the rear - although I'm unsure if going bigger with either(or both South & Dolman) stands would have been absolutely impossible??

My creaking memory banks say I read on here at some point that to do so may have required re- alignment of the pitch???.....

First half felt a wasted opportunity.

Second half they came out with a rocket up then but it seemed like we were also more dangerous. Felt an even game

Perfectly summed up - a good point that for all our pretty football in the first half (at half time i thought how well we were looking after the ball, but could play all night & not score) - we looked far more likely to score when Forest played a higher line & upped their game.

Hopefully this augers well for the replay!

Lost count of the number of times Conway would make a run only to be ignored.

As I've said tonight on another thread,, Twine plays tonight & we likely win...

Could do with the goal threat of Syksey too so I'm hoping he's close.
