I assume this post is from a fan not the marketing/ticketing department; either way the answer is the same. Was a ST for 20 years, and renewed again when Pearson appointed. It hasnt been good to watch since Covid struck and this season has been a hard watch, home and away. Cost of travel and passing inside our own half would stop me renewing and the TV influence of changing K.O times makes it worse.

I will support the club financially who are losing so much money, just as i did in 1982, when we also needed money from true supporters. My mate next to me yesterday said he will always renew until we get foreign owners and that's a fair point too. Those not renewing are not helping this financial mess and the owners/football authorities will still see the attendance figures as being good even if we are losing £millions per month. If we support the club less financially surely it means we will see lower cost-players and the downward spiral then starts?

As well as renewals(whom to some extent are a captive audience), what about those considering a first season ticket??....

Mehmeti was still breaking forward in the 90th minute - you might criticise his decision making, but not effort.

As for Cornick I hoped it was confidence but having scored an excellent goal vs Saints, he is shot of it - the opportunity in the first half from the poor backpass needed a shot and he simply squared it without looking- unforgivable at this level.

And I’m ignoring the attempt at a cross later in the half. I’m not sure we can explain this away saying he was carrying a knock!

Not up to the standard required.....

A wage better spent elsewhere, but who will take him off our hands???

Only one place I can think of.... 🙂

    All but mathematical safety confirmed.
Now is the time to act, get rid of Manning, utilise King/others to see us through the season and then get ready to make a managerial announcement ready for next season.

We can (high majority) all see that Liam Manning isn’t the man for this job.

if only the technical director had any ounce of credibility about himself

Patience dear boy- his departure can be your Christmas present....

However, if the structure remains the same with Tinnion in his current role, I really do wonder at the point of any of it.

Dickie is a brilliant threat with his head in the opposition box, as good as Flint, maybe even Mick Harford……..or maybe not but still very good.

Was a beautiful header today, nicely cushioned ... we'd be knackered without him.

Swans tv commentary saying Bristol City don't look interested and Swansea unable to find a way to break them down......sums us up perfectly. Cornick is no winger so get Sykes on. TGH has been woeful and is half the player he was when he joined. One of the most boring games I've seen, we look totally clueless.

Yes, get Wells & sykes on & go 4-4-2...

it's an absolute cop out to suggest another manager wouldn't have us anywhere near the top 6 when we absolutely could have got more out of those games.

Actually me writing it out like that has made me even more annoyed because those games were more than winnable

Defeat to Swansea this weekend, and it could be (should be) Manning's swansong.

If ever there was a "must win",  this is it.

    No excuses.

    No if's, no but's or maybe's.

Should we lose tomorrow I wouldn't say he'd get the chop even then.

Although with WBA & Leicester to follow, the die is cast.

Its obvious we dont win anymore, Manning from leauge one and dont know championship. The natural thing is to sack him before its to late. Problem is who is gonna replace him. Really hope we can avoid relegation. He has no confidence, the team feels it, all seems to be a mess.

Your very right in that Manning is lacking confidence, it's clear to see imo & the only thing exuding is his lack of it.

It's not something that the players won't have noticed & that ain't good, not good at all....

I have said on another post-NP did not get particularly good results, now how much of that was down to reducing the wage bill getting rid of the dead wood etc I don't know. I have come in for some stick for even daring to point that out, he was working under some constraints but the way he is mourned on here anyone would think we had been successful and entertaining under his management, well I must have missed that part, as you have pointed out Manning seems to be on a hiding to nothing what frustrates me most is good results and performances followed by disappointment. I personally can see some improvement overall the team look more cohesive but again we have the curse of Bristol City with injuries which have impacted our progress, all this harking back to the "good old days" under Pearson is getting us nowhere.

If Swansea beat us on Sunday we are looking down the barrel.....Manning's responsibility.

I don't really understand why we are applauding a defeat because the players put in a shift?? That is the minimum requirement every game we play. This is a 4th successive defeat and a record since Nigel left that has us 23rd - its relegation form. It is not acceptable. 7 wins in 25 and 10 defeats is nowhere near good enough. This is a results business and sadly he is not getting results. The Board dug out Nigel publicly for this. This is much worse.  He can only play one way and he is completely out of his depth. That is not surprising given this is his first stint in the Championship. That is the sad reality and we have seen it all before with this owner and the people in charge. They have no idea as to what is required to get to the top.    The players he has cannot play tippy tappy football and he needs results fast. I genuinely dont think he can get a tune out of them and those results he has attained appear to be one offs.   The team are not able to play that penetrating pass that opens up teams and this passing around the back and side to side is pointless. They dont retain the ball with purpose and probe defences, simply because we dont have that level of player. We dont really control the game through possession and that is the flaw of Manning and the modern coaches. They are trying to copy Guardiola, forgetting he has had 1 billion to do it. Personally, I think this is going to get worse before it gets better and if we dont win against Swansea, I am not sure where the next points are coming from.  We still need 10 points to be safe and I think we are sleep walking our way to relegation. There is always one team that drops like a stone and it could be us.....   I would be minded to terminate this disastrous appointment. Michael Duff was a bit unlucky at Swansea - he might fit us quite well given his style of play.

Good post, although I don't think we are sleep walking to the trap door - I think most now are wide awake & horribly aware to the possibility ..

Exactly. I was totally against firing Manning regardless of how Nige had been treated...............until we played QPR at home when it became very clear to me that the managers of clubs who NEED to tactically out-think him (i.e. managers of clubs fighting for their lives) are finding it an absolute doddle to do so and he's learning nothing to counteract it. Then he went and followed it up immediately TWICE MORE just to prove that I wasn't completely losing it. People moan about no Plan B but Plan A is a shower of shite totally unsuited to the players available and has shown no signs of being modified or improved. Literally the only times we play well is when we adopt "Plan Nige" and counter attack. It's absolutely comical in it's irony.

I understand my own arguments I've put forward previously about the circus picking the next manager and until that changes then nothing changes, and that is a massive worry for me, BUT I am convinced that if the current manager remains along with Sid heading recruitment then next season will be a relegation battle from either start to finish or start to such times as Liam's replacement can get us out of the mire if they aren't appointed too late. I can only speak for myself but it's staring me right in the face unfortunately.

The NEXT point to be put forward on the horizon if and probably when Manning reaches a point of no return will be "obviously they were 100% correct to boot out Nige but picked the wrong man to replace him". Guaranteed!!

If anyone wishes to put a marker on and quote the above when Liam emphatically proves me wrong please be my guest and I would be absolutely delighted for you to do so. If he doesn't prove me wrong by Christmas then the undeniable truth will be that the hierarchy and the impatient "Nige Out Fan Club" have combined to undo the necessary work in reducing FFFP risk and keeping us at Championship level by Nige, Richard Gould, Curtis Fleming, Phil Alexander, Jason Euell et al by a good 18 months. Worse, if it really goes wrong, we'll be back exactly where we started and next time there will almost inevitably be no repeat fix. If that happens, there will be plenty to remind you.

    Bang on the money 👏
