Coming for us mind

Point of curiosity: did you really have to pay to see the 2nd game if had ticket for first (as commentator said) even at reduced prices? Seems crazy to me.
Or have i misunderstood that ?
Yes I’m sure that was the case, but the tickets for the 2nd game were greatly reduced

I remember the stadium announcer (the one that seemed to be there forever) having to ask us to leave the stadium as we celebrated so long after the final whistle. Also the sportsmanship of the Kop and the Liverpool fans in general was truly amazing.
I recall us being knocked out at home by lower division Torquay at home a few seasons before and police horses having to charge the City fans so that the Torquay fans could get out.

I asked one of their fans who reports on their away followings. He reckons Bath is still solid Rovers - probably split 90/40 in their favour

Just back after the game, my reflections….
Overall a draw was about right, there was not much between the two teams, they had a golden chance first half which BD blasted over and AS should have hit the target - at least - immediately after we conceded, we built some sustained pressure towards the end.
Negatives: Our dead ball delivery was poor throughout, we largely lacked a creative spark in midfield, thought NW was guilty of too many sloppy moments, we stood off them far too much in the build up to their goal, we were too pedestrian for large periods.
Positives: ZV looked accomplished and played with composure and authority, Scotty’s awareness and movement was class at times, there was a a good response to conceding and Sam Bell took his chance really well even though it counted for nothing.
In the end Blackburn we’re far more pleased to hear the final whistle than we were.
Hope you had a good catch up with your old mates Jerseybean

I walked round Go Outdoors the other day and that seems very much still a Rovers stronghold.

Not at all. I'm sure South Bristol has innumerable delights and pleasures....which are best appreciated from the other side of the river.

I was at the other end of the Lansdown near the away end. Could hear A block but S82 were much louder. Blackburn fans very quiet. Strange as they had decent numbers.
I wonder if the Blackburn fans being kept well away from A block kept the A block noise a bit.

Remember going away to Oxford years ago couldn't see a thing due to fog. I think it was Wayne Alison running back to the half way line celebrating that new we had scored!
I remember that one. 1-1 draw. Both ‘goals’ happened at the foggy end I seem to recall

All the ‘people’ of Bristol will be wounded tonight with the people’s club losing, albeit against a superior opponent they have a terrible record against.
They should get a chance to put things right very soon in one of their regular derbies against their fierce rivals over at Ashton (River) Plate

1-0 down at Accrington (As they continue to come for us)

Rovers have won 1 of their last 12 against Accrington.
Ooh sorry, wrong thread.

Would be helpful if Mr FIscherman the OP could provide details of which Sky sources are suggesting the game will be moved to 12:30

Not sure how they've got the cheek to mock a crowd (12,145) they can only dream of achieving right now.
Well it is ONLY 3,000 more than their biggest home crowd of the season, and probably for many seasons, even though it was a 12.30 Sunday ko and admission wasn’t included with season tickets.

45(?) years ago, City (Div 1)were only too grateful to secure a 4-4 at home to Wrexham (Div 3).
Good memory, although I’m certain we lost the replay so,etching like 3 0

Very decent of you Colin. Nice one

Flicked over to catch the end and missed 2 goals in the BBC match! Palmer missed a great chance to make it 4 4

I’ve just happened across it. Anyone know if this is a regular thing or a new concept? 11 year old kids co commentating on Brentford v Liverpool

I had a feeling this wouldn’t go well
It was none of the things mentioned above, and with the greatest of respect @BigTone , I recall seeing you on the pitch at Millwall and think I would have recognised you if you were on coach 1 yesterday

If the person who left something on the upper desk of coach 1 yesterday reads the forum, I’ll drop the item at the ground on Saturday pre Stoke. I got caught at the top of the stairs and by the time I got down the probable owner was gone.
For the record, coach 1 was quite a normal and pleasant experience although I assume it’s not normally a double decker.

‘Only’ 15,000 at the Gate today. Only 6,000 more than they’ve had at home for ages.
At least they can use the empty seats fancy dress joke again.
