Personally I would absolutely love for there to be a seating section that is for neurodiverse people and their carers. Somewhere that is accessible, safe and secure with a quiet room attached. With a policy of zero tolerance of bad behaviour from the carers.

The club have done a fantastic with the facilities for the less abled. Now it needs to do more for those with less visible disabilities.

This while situation would have been avoided if we had the facilities I've mentioned above. Other clubs do it. So we should too.

Ashton Gate should be an inclusive stadium for all and it hurts me that it currently isn't.

This thread has really hurt my heart that this father was in this position. As soon as I saw the father run on the pitch I knew this wasn't a typical pitch invasion.

Yes that was my first thought too.  Hopefully the club and police handle this sensitively and compassionately.  As you say lots of clubs have sensory areas for fans with various neurodiversity needs.  We need to up our game.

It's a shame our very high attendance figures over the last 8 years or so have coincided with a dilution in the importance of income from ticket sales compared to other revenue sources. Doesn't really give us any competitive edge versus other clubs that it would have done say 20 years ago

Although I get the feeling that everyone’s attendances have gone up similarly over the last 20 years?  This season is a bit skewed perhaps by having Sunderland, Leicester and Leeds (and not Luton) but we are 11th.

Probably take place when FA cup replays would have taken place.

I wouldn’t be surprised.  All this moaning from the rich clubs with ginormous squads about fixture congestion but they’re more than happy to cram their summers (and in the future during the season) with lucrative overseas matches.

Nope. Not a vocal minority. A very clear large majority. But it’s fair enough to call for patience.

How is that a yes or no question.  Can interpret this anyway you want.  Does the author work for Ipsos Mori?

... out on the pitch (like the good ol' days) addresses the crowd:

"Which one do you want me to set free fire in the tunnel at full-time, Barrabas Tinnion or, er, the one that's not the Messiah?"

    And the crowd responds ....

Brilliant!  Can he play after the international break? He’s moving faster down that wing than half our squad at the moment.

  7. It’s a really weird choice whichever way you look at it.  When a team is doing badly and you want to sell season tickets you put generic stuff on the poster (think young kids waving flags , Ashton gate looking nice in the sunset etc).  To feature Tinnion and Manning so prominently is really odd.  It’s either a wind up or a massive blind spot from those running the club (I’m assuming JL signed it off) that have no idea what the fans are thinking.

  8. The membership page on the club website states that each member can claim “2 free tickets to a match of their choice” this season.  I can’t for the life of me find out how to do that on the ticket site though.  Has anyone done it successfully? Thanks in advance

  9. I was actually thinking how quiet (our end, saints were loud at times) it was in the first half and how many empty seats there were.  The turnstiles were quiet, was really easy to get to my seat which normally takes ages for a big crowd.  Whole rows empty in the south stand and Lansdown and around us in the Dolman.  Must have been way under the 24k sold.  Anyway, once we got ahead and the nerves settled the atmosphere was brilliant.

    3) He says the shirt "weighs heavily on the players" - he does realise they are Bristol rovers not Man Utd, Tottenham or Arsenal right? 🤣 They have exactly zero history so what is weighing on the players minds?

I think he was referring to the poor quality kit which this season was made from recycled fake Fanta bottles.  In the rain it gets very heavy and was weighing the players down.
