I'm seeing some digs at the poll, but I think it's interesting nonetheless. Win next match and we'll probably see a flip. Lose and end up in relegation zone will see a big change. It's sensitive at the moment, lots of fans on the edge.
I think if we are in the bottom 3 in January, he'll be given no more than a handful of games to turn it around.

Keep the faith. Let’s give Pearson the next two windows and see where that takes us. I firmly believe it will be top ten.
Sounds familiar

Was it SL who hired Nige without a CEO?

Ever since that bloody Wolves goal…

This manager is worst than the previous two, I seriously believe that.
I want Nige out but Holden showed us a completely new low, the worst was under him

Let’s have a vote then

I’d be prepared to give him till the end of February. If we’re still working at a 20% win rate by then then changed would have to be made.
Still intrigued over what makes him a ‘proper manager’ though, outside of success he had 8+ years ago
It’s a remarkable situation really that a manager with such a low win rate is being debated that he is or isn’t the right fella for the job.

Agreed you don't score 20+ goals then become crap overnight.
He’s the same player that scored 20 imo, tactics are just wrong for him

1 point off relegation zone as it stands

West Brom. Absolute shambles up there about 2 months ago
Amazing what sacking an out of date coach does doesn’t it
But Nige is a proper manager

Last 10 mins much better

Just too easy to play against, we’ve made them look brilliant

I have no evidence on this, but I have the feeling Massengo wants to leave no matter what. Maybe an insane offer could turn his head. I reckon it’s obvious he’ll find a club abroad easily if released, and he knows it.

This was all too often LJ's mentality. Worrying more about countering the opposition's strengths rather than playing to ours.
We are pretty potent going forward - if given the chance and I would much rather us defending by pressing higher up the pitch.
The risk of this would be France making quick counter attacks and the thought of Maguire being exposed one on one, with Mbappe bearing down on him at full tilt ,would mean the Major running out of squeaky bum oil supplies!
100% agree on LJ, I wrote a bit about LJ in that post but deleted it as I was rambling on France will be making quick counter attacks whether or not we flood the defence. I don't think we'll be keeping them out of the net unfortunately.

England fans were fighting back the Russians, and fighting them back well for long periods on the day of the game and the night before. There was also plenty of Marseille and PSG hooligans about too.
5 at the back like he played for the Germany game at the Euros to deliver our performance of that tournament?
Regards Southgate in or out after this tournament. I think that's immaterial. I think he's leaving even if we win the thing.
Yup, we can see what this team does with our recent formation. I believe we've improved since the Euros, we're a lot more threatening.
-
If Southgate goes into the France game with a defensive mentality I'll probably switch to Southgate out. I don't want to see 5 at the back as a plan to counter Mbappe as i've heard others say.
Would love to see an unchanged team. France should worry about us and we shouldn't fear them, we've got some tricky talent for them to deal with. I worry Southgate hasn't learnt, but so far he's showing he has. Come Saturday and if we see Mount and Sterling squeezed into the starting 11, it's over.
Worst thing that could happen is if we score in the first 20. We've seen that story one too many times
I think if we don't hold back and start the same team, we'll be in for a hell of a game

Right lads, it's war this Saturday.
No baguettes from now on
No croissants
Don't even ****** dare look at macarons
Play waterloo full blast before the game
Hopefully we'll go quickly 3-0 up and they'll surrender at half time. If we're 1-0 down the Prussians will rock up.

Is it just me that thinks keeper should be saving the Messi goal? Or harsh?
Not harsh but keeper had defenders blocking the view, you could argue his positioning should be better

Lots of suppport for the Argies might be interesting if they end up playing England somewhere in the tournament with the no segregation in the stadiums
could well be a few flashpoints
Don’t think they’ll play us unless it’s in the final

You just know those who are strong verbal Southgate outers on social media 100% said the same when we drew to Scotland

Grealish can change the game though

If we had a top 10 buget surely SL knows this and would set the bar much higher for NP surely? Alarm bells should've been ringing since we've been dancing around a relegation battle since NP took over.
I don't know our accounts as much as some do on here but I struggle to believe we have a top 10 budget, our squad is shiiiite
