"We need to take the emotion out of it"

    Now apparently we didn't listen.

Same as the players don't listen when we have lost.

    Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.

I really want to have some belief in this guy, because I don't have any modicum of belief in anyone above him.

But all I see and hear is a blagger.

He is desperate for approval like LJ was . It can be tiresome, I prefer the football to do their promotion.

I thought it was a decent interview. He makes a point of trying to dispel the OTIB/social media myth that he's a robot and doesn't want emotion to be part of football. He denies that, and said they even covered it in training. He wants us to have fight, and to be on the fine line between emotion and control.

Good to see that he’s learning from OTIB.

Funny, but not true Ronnie as  most of the tanning salons in Southend had already gone bust when Steve Jones (formerly of this parish) moved on from Southend to The Chair boys. 😬

There’s no truth in the rumour that Phil Brown is going to change his name to Phil Orange.

he has flaws to his game that others would see.

Of course he has flaws in his game he is relatively inexperienced and still learning his trade.
However, and here is the big point, how many players at the top of their trade play for our club ?
Most are up and coming or the other side of their peak, to consider promotion we need to have a backbone in the first team of players who are at or near to their best. Can we attract / keep this type ?

Yes, but along with Max whose keeping and kicking improved from October, Tanner who has arguably been the most improved outfield player since October, Pringo, Williams, Cornick, and defo Wells. In fact its not easy to find players who havent improved with a coach who all the players like and respectDoritos Licker GIF by Pepsico BNL

  6. I was out there in 2002/3 an amazing place if you want to meet great people, dance and sing .
Drink rum, smoke cigars and laugh.
I advise to avoid the tourist beaches, Baracoa on the North side of the island is unspoiled as is the Isla Juventus.

Stay with the locals and you will have an amazing experience. I was invited to a Santeria mass which is not for tourists and it was colorful, viceral and rich.
Go to a ballet . It’s not like in Europe , it’s of an exceptional high quality and the locals treat it like a sport with dancers cheered and whistled during the performance.
    Go you won’t regret it.

  7. Fashion, f , f ,f,f fashion and those who slavishly follow it.It’s marketing people, just a way to sell more products.

Wear what the folk you want to wear. However you dress if you do it with confidence others will think that you are making a statement and most probably copy your ‘look’ .

If you hang on to your threads long enough they will come back ‘ in ‘ anyway.

If they get promoted, do people think he’ll of regretted the decision to move in Jan ?

I am sure he would have thought that Derby had a good chance of promotion when he signed for us so it wouldn’t be a shock to him if they are in the same division next season.
Equally he would have known about City, the facilities and certain players like Knight with whom he played at Detby.

Everyone thought Argyle would be a tough nut this year (then again look at ipswich)

I thought they would go down and have been surprised at how well they’ve done. They were really unlucky to lose Schumacher and their two top loanees.
If they stay up they will more then deserve it through sheer drive.

Without doubt he is having a great season scoring wise but the obsession is unreal.

Apart from this season his scoring stats (which everyone is obsessed with) are either OK or not great.

I really don't blame the club for not playing him. It wasn't like he was head and shoulders above pato or Palmer at the time

Whilst he was here when he got his opportunities he blew them. He looked miles off it.
I seem to recall coaching staff comments about him being a bit of a clown so I doubt there was much support to keep the lad over others in his position. I am sure his experience here has helped him become the player he is today.
Perhaps Tinnion will take the credit …

I really hope someone makes the Bob Marley gag soon, it’s the major thing missing from this thread.

As I often say, ‘ be original or be quick ‘ I really should follow my own advice.
