  1. For benefit the deluded halfwits from horfield - There has been nothing either "immovable" or "constant" about your membership of the football league. You were NON-LEAGUE fewer than 10 years ago - The dictionary definition of constant from google: constant /ˈkɒnst(ə)nt/ adjective occurring continuously over a period of time. "the constant background noise of the city" a situation that does not change. "the condition of struggle remained a constant" The level of propaganda from the blue few (even on their official site) would make a North Korean government official blush
  2. unless their games in hand are worth 6 points each i have a pretty good idea which end of the table they are heading for
  3. gaschat after the fewers fail to con the ref (enough) to win any points is a beautiful thing for sure. I am still trying to work out: are they still coming for us? is tisdale the messiah and building something special or a gert ted?
  4. Now come on I wont have a bad word said about Ben Garner he was just half a season short of legend status...... for us!
  5. I've seen milk turn quicker than their "striker"
  6. This is true - His pass to Korey for the winner against Manchester United was sublime - Just a pity for them their most entertaining player of the last 20 years had his finest moment for us.
  7. Happy gap day - something to laugh at today besides the gap. https://www.skysports.com/football/bristol-r-vs-hull-city/report/430906 The "defending" for the last Hull goal ??? Garner talked about building something special ? - Comedy club??
  8. There are very few benefits of the current pandemic... but one I can think of for Hull fans is none of them will tonight be subjected to being cornered in the pub by a dribbling fewer pretending to be a all chummy because Hull City once beat us 1-0 in a game which the Gas could only dream of playing in (their favourite ever result). No doubt this would inevitably followed by "so you prefer us to them Gert teds right?"
  9. Coincidentally 300 bus stops is how they will build their new stadium
  10. Oh yeah - Wael lobbing his toys out of the pram and banning all future player transactions between the clubs after the Matty Taylor transfer was very "adult". Looking at it a few years since... They have NOTHING we want - so we don't care We have a host of promising young players loaned to clubs they compete with such as Plymouth, Newport, Cheltenham, Swindon etc. I don't suppose for a minute Tinns would have placed young players at Rovers as a "first choice", but it could have happened, still their loss is Plymouths gain.
  11. The fans being needy is one thing, but presumably Northampton are asking this of their fans on behalf of Bristol Rovers (the club) becuase of an official approach. I like how most Northampton fans are recounting the playoff semis in 1998 where the gas tannoy man "counted his chickens" by mentioing or singing about wembley (or should that be wembly?) when they had secured a 3-1 first leg advantage only for them to be done 3-0 in the second leg. Standard.
  12. ? Questions not to ask in Guess who BRFC fans edition Does the person have six fingers? Does the person have all their teeth?
  13. Did they pay a fee for any player they brought in?
  14. I see the fewers have Sunderland away first - how are they going to manage their annual "Do you like us better than Bristol City-a-thon" remotely?
  15. I guess pluralising thousand is technically still (just about) correct
  16. I work with a Hull City Fan - he bemoans their lack of spending on the team That sounds pretty familiar in some regards, except the gas lap up free transfsers with tweets about "announce promotion"
  17. I had heard a few times that they have made some "decent" signings https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bristol-rovers/transfers/verein/2455/plus/0?saison_id=2020&pos=&detailpos=&w_s=
  18. On JCH from: https://gaschat.co.uk/thread/15554/jch?page=9 "Perhaps he's just content to pick up his wage with us, not every player is desperate for a move higher. He does seem to love the club as on any team photo he's usually bang in the middle. " ???
  19. It has all been a bit quiet! With the lockdown and cancellation of league one there seems to have been very few opportunities for them to do something laughable every few days like usual. I'll just throw in some random letters and numbers to cheer people up P15 W2 D4 L9
  20. So a few weeks ago all the "news" about them was that there were huge announcements imminent re: their Fruit market stadium......... then nothing? What gives?
  21. from that article: "Should Clarke swap the Mem for Field Mill, he would be forfeiting a testimonial earned for 10 years of service with the Gas. " My understanding on the way a testimonial works is that gate receipts will go to the player (and/or as is often the case the Players choice of charities). Doesnt this imply for it to be of "real value" some of the Blue few would actually turn up and pay for a change? If Mansfield pay better wages than the fewers and he gets say a 3 year contract he may be better off just leaving anyway?
  22. Their average attendance for last 10 years is 7334. Their average attendance this year 7397 - lower than Lincoln, MK Dons, Blackpool and Rotherham - marginally above peterborough "Huge potential"
