My conclusion is if they play against 11 for the rest of the season, and don't improve their form things could look very bleak for them ? Since we are not involved in the FL trophy anymore (hooray!) I must admit I have not followed the competition too closely in recent years. Of course I know they now have prem youth/reserve teams in it - which is an utter farce! and fair play to all the fans (incl gas) that stay away in protest. You too would have a bad back if you had been carrying all 10 outfield players all season. My understanding is he had been MotM quite a few times, probably more than his fair share. Still he is probably back in London getting treated by his parent club. Given how "professional" the fewers are in everything they do, I would expect Brentford were probably less than enthusiastic at letting rovers (no doubt "championship ready") medical team loose on one of their young players.
