  1. The issue is these plucky non-league sides rarely have the staying power for league one and soon find themselves back in league two or lower
  2. I hadn't considered that - probably very true. Knowing the rovers penchant for stealing grounds maybe John lock and son better check all their kit is properly accounted for before leaving Chernobyl.
  3. That has got to be quite worrying for Rovers "security" team surely? Monday 23rd March they could find half their "stands" have disappeared as the fairground people thought they were part of the fair and just packed them up with the rest of their stuff by mistake.
  4. The Peterborough ownership has always struck me as quite forward thinking, dynamic, and driven. Even if McAnthony can be a little bit annoying and perhaps even full of himself on twitter in my opinion. The rovers ownership strike me as simply laughable.
  5. cue gaslogic kicking into overdrive and Lansdown being blamed for this (incl of the usual moronic references to "Ladygarden")
  6. From that link - "Tom Nichols has been told by Bristol Rovers he can leave in the January transfer window. The 26-year-old forward has made 28 appearances for the Gas this season in all competitions, scoring four goals - the most he has netted in a single campaign for Rovers." So they are letting him go during his current "hot streak" ? - ofc we are using the term "hot streak" in a very broad sense here
  7. but.... but.... Their sprinklers ARE championship ready! just dont ask about the plans for a new stadium, stands tents at their exising dump, training ground, disabled persons stand, new facilities beyond the new bar entrance canopy, their playing staff, their finances, transfer budget or the owners.
  8. If they really are losing £60K per week - unless their next manager is paying them then they cant "afford" anyone
  9. I kind of assume this is a wind up? Obviously it is hard to tell at times as a fair proportion of them seem to resort to weapons grade levels of delusion/glue sniffing/crack. But is the quote about "football, rugby, concerts what's not to like" somehow bordering on the assumption that Bristol sport would somehow share revenue with them? If (big if) we shared AG with them, even on a temporary basis, I'd hope we'd drive a hard bargain on their rent, their contribution to maintenance and running costs over the period and also ensure that all non Rovers related revenue stays under Bristol sport. Thankfully with two professional sports teams already resident in the stadium we have no need to house that shower, and so on the face it seems about as likely as rovers selling out their ground for the rest of the season.
  10. Indeed - they don't often make it to the 2nd round draw Does this constitute a "cup run"? when will the DVD be out?
  11. Maybe their club could issue another Brexit statement to reassure their stay away supporters.? ...or maybe it's just their fans aren't as great as they continually claim to be.
  12. We could check how many fans any of West Ham, Wolves, or Southampton exist globally - its pretty much the same thing #gaslogic
  13. More on that: The first time it was resold for £2000 The next time they resold the bottle on the basis that it was the actual Chateau Latour and it sold for £150M An independent Auditor came in and said that seemed "fair" Derby and Villa got away with it Meeting outcome: 6 game bans for Famara Dhiedhou and Bailey Wright
  14. That would be nice I have a feeling its more likely to be along the lines of - "Lunch was great! poached quail eggs salad, roast venison with sauteed red cabbage and parmentier potatoes all washed down with a nice Chataeu Latour at £600 per bottle."
  15. Are you sure? League average attendances since 1970 - Brighton in Blue - fewers in Grey While Brighton clearly had some lean years - looking at the graph I don't think I would assume they were "similar sized clubs". I would say Brighton are larger. Bear in mind that in many cases even in Brighton's lean years they had similar or better attendance than the sags. Their capacity to dream up utter crap about the status of their club is bordering on insanity
  16. You know your ground is shit when fans of a club that play in a 3 sided stadium rip the piss out of your tented squatters camp. Actually the Kassam besides having only 3 stands is pretty tidy from what I recall of seeing it from the outsdue.
  17. I cannot be sure, as I have zero desire to "put myself in the mind of a gashead", but I think he is expressing a degree of disbelief in our responses to his tweet. I mentioned that the tweet supposedly put out then deleted by one of their clubs official accounts (supposedly that said "its time for war") was potentially incitement and also likely disrespectful of war victims itself.
  18. Their club and their fans seem to constantly come across as crass beyond belief - Comparing the match against oxford to war is neither respectful to people who have suffered losses in war or sensible given the way their supporters have been talking on social media in recent days. They need to get a grip - he left for a club in the division above. It happens.
  19. does "Target 140" refer to their attendances?
  20. Take away the big screen and this could be a picture from any non-league game -There is No crowd or stands, the houses in background are clearly on view etc, mostly what you can see is just some hoardings and a bunch of players and staff milling about.
  21. 9.5 months of: Fewers bragging about their "amazing" away support despite a mountain of evidence to the contrary Wally repeatedly saying "these things take time" at every interview Cockman complaining about a "lack of quality in da foinal turd" in post match interviews The gas fans desperately trying to break 10K at home - which they only will manage when the bigger clubs come visiting (i.e. Pompey, Sunderland and the like) The fewers desperately asking any and all away supporters if they prefer the gas to city in the hope of some validation More than a few incidents of their fanbase misbehaving - the smart money would go on incidents of fighting, racist abuse, and theiving from their own. A couple (just that) of Nicholls goals - PROLIFIC! The gas players cheating and diving to get a high proportion of opposition sent off Gas fans bleating to national media how relevant they also are if WE get a cup run Hopefully also: The gas looking over their shoulders for the first few months of the season as Bury and Bolton catch up Administration? I am sure I have missed some!
  22. You can hardly blame those in charge of the gas for this - they have just done so many improvements to their ground over recent years! ??
  23. "Well run" as in they "ran" from "Wael?"
