  1. I was wondering if their right to light was impeded by the screen too.
  2. I wondered the exact same thing - It would not be surprising to see a very strong correlation between "business trips" to the London office and midweek Chelsea home games in the gas expense accounts. I still don't understand the reason for London being the location in this day and age. Bristol is well connected, so much so that the owner of one Bristol club setup a financial Business in Bristol rather than London! I guess the argument is that London makes more sense to host foreign investors, but if anyone was to actually get to the stage of talking about investment and visiting the Rovers London office, I'd assume they'd at least ask to be taken to Bristol to see the Memorial Stadium, so what is the point in the London office?
  3. Its closer to the team Wally actually supports
  4. Was the "author" of this piece the same guy that once famously said "hellllloooooooo!" and "unlucky da shit" on YouTube?
  5. The reserve sides at Alderhsot, Bury, Shrewsbury, Stevenage etc are all on high alert
  6. They finish "runners-up" to Accrington Stanley, Gillingham, Oxford Utd. and Fleetwood Town, We narrowly miss out on playoffs to Derby and Middlesborough "Coming for us" indeed
  7. Final scores on their efforts "10K average over 5 games" Charlton 8343 Luton 9037 Bradford 8417 Rochdale 8516 Barnsley 9859 Total of 44172 Just under 6000 short of the 50K they needed Average 8834 ? Conclusion Massive Club Best and most loyal fans! Club needs a 30K stadium Meanwhile in south Bristol Reading 23309 Derby 25556 Total 48865 - over 4K more than the saggies 5 match run in just 2 matches Conclusion Soul-less empty bowl Dirty Teds innum?
  8. She was right! - Clearasil is tough to get off the windows of a vehicle - just ask that minibus load of away fans.
  9. I think they mentioned after their loss to Rochdale they were going to "take over" Fleetwood today - I wonder how many they will actually take? Also based on their "10K average" over the last five games dream. I think our attendance today will mean we have surpassed the aggregate of 5 home gates of theirs in our last 2 games.
  10. Exclusive pictures of Bielsa's new super sleuth - Mark Ashton Beware!!!
  11. From that thread (which is mostly slagging off their former managerial messiah GC) .... let’s all now take over fleetwood and then pack the mem to make sure we do our bit... I'm guessing the final game of the season at the mem will actually be very well attended.... by the Barnsley fans!
  12. An update on their 10K average over last 5 games.... Charlton 8343 Luton 9037 Bradford 8417 Rochdale 8516 Barnsley ? Average = 8579 Required for 50k over 5 games and thus 10K average - 15687 So you're right @Rudolf Hucker They DO need a bigger ground. ?
  13. Maybe he will get his dream move to one of the bigger, more successful, and better supported clubs like Luton, Plymouth or Barnsley. Then Wael can trouser the cash and get them another freebie from Aldershot or similar
  14. Charting their "progress" to average 10K over their last 5 home games as some of the fewers were suggesting a while back Charlton 8343 Luton 9037 Bradford 8417 Rochdale ? Barnsley ? ----- Average so far - 8599 Average required in remaining games - 12101 Despite what was posted on here earlier today from gas chat about "fanbase" - this goes to show that both their support AND fanbase are pitiful.
  15. The issue apparently stems from a line in the installation instructions that reads "for sufficient ventilation please ensure there is at least a hand widths of space at the back of the unit" - They are struggling to find bolts long enough apparently
  16. They are already boycotting home games - I am not sure we'd be able to tell the difference
  17. Who knows you might have even built a stadium by then
  18. I thought I'd keep track of the sags 10K average over final five home games of the season "target" Charlton 8343 Luton 9037 Bradford ? Rochdale ? Barnsley ? ----- Average so far - 8690 Average required in remaining games - 10873 I hadn't realised they play Barnsley on the last day of the season - I REALLY like the look of that fixture especially if the sags need something - Would be sweet to see Cauley Woodrow relegate them while they spew their bile at him in their tented swamp ? ??
  19. 10,434 needed at every game for them to make that target now
  20. I thought that was photoshopped but it's really there on their site. Yet another gift. Hilarious.
  21. The "bigger than Bournemouth" crap again... The graph here is from a post I made in this thread where they claimed they were bigger than Swansea, Huddersfield and Bournemouth. For reference the gas attendance line is yellow and black, since I am aware they once had an away kit those colours. ??? With Regard to Bournemouth - They were historically a similar size and there was little to choose between the clubs (similar attendances etc). Some seasons the gas had higher attendances, sometimes the cherries did. However since 2014 Bournemouth have left them wael and truly behind. I know they may argue with investment they could be as big as Bournemouth again but that would need an implosion at Bournemouth or the Gas to invest, get promoted twice and for their fans to actually turn up. None of these things are looking paritcularly likely at the moment are they?
  22. Hmm you are right - maybe the website I sourced the info from doesn't include every year? Either way I think the point i am making is still 100% valid - To aggregate 50K attendance over the next 5 home games they are going to need at least three and most likely four attendances over 10K. Given the rarity of them getting that many at the swamp I think they have less than zero chance of achieving that. As Loon plage said - fantasists! I expect they may get something like 43k over the five games. Kind of the figure we get for two games
  23. From https://www.11v11.com/teams/bristol-rovers/tab/stats/option/attendances/ these are ALL of the 10K+ attendances they have had in the previous 11 years (data on that page excludes current season and seems to only go back as far as 2007) 11,883 - 14 Sep 2007 v Leeds United 11,750 - 30 Apr 2017 v Millwall 11,448 --27 Oct 2009 v Leeds United 11,200 - 26 Dec 2016 v Coventry City 10,557 - 28 Jan 2017 v Swindon Town 10,293 - 07 Mar 2009 v Leeds United 10,093 - 31 Dec 2016 v AFC Wimbledon 10,088 - 01 Nov 2016 v Fleetwood Town 10,053 - 14 Aug 2016 v Oxford United 10,029 - 14 Apr 2018 v Blackburn Rovers 10,014 - 01 Jan 2018 v Portsmouth So including their 10K against their "best chums" Sunderland this season - They have had a dozen 10K+ attendances in that whole period, and the best season they had was 2016 when they had four. Bear in mind also that two of the fixtures were against Leeds (great away following, novelty for the gas to play a big club) and four of them were Christmas home fixtures, and it puts into context how sad and pathetic their support really is ... and they think they could average 50K over five fixtures.
  24. Oh Dear Time to concentrate on relegation
