  1. What Pearson is trying to achieve is going to take years and I’m more than happy to give him that time. Unfortunately, time isn’t something most football fans are prepared to give as they want instant gratification. If we win, we’re going up and Pearson was great all along. If we lose Pearson is the worst manager we’ve ever had.

Grow up, grow some patience and stop shitting all over your own doorstep by demanding a change of manager when we finally have a decent manager that’s just starting to get a grip on our soft as shit club.

I look at the questions and answers regarding the 'local Derby with Cardiff' and can't help but laugh and roll my eyes.

What difference does it make...why make it an issue...why create more tension and pressure, when there really isn't a need? It's not even a ' derby'. The blue few got so bad that the ' media' had to find another.

It's bollox. 3 points up for grabs that should have no more meaning than Blackburn.

Does anyone actually go on about beating Cardiff? Seriously? And if so ..why? Who gives a **** ..it means nothing.

Just a hyped up game for the media because the Gas are so bad.

I love beating Cardiff personally- or more accurately, I hate losing to them. Still only 3 points but the thought of losing to them makes me feel physically sick which I don’t get with Sunderland et al.

I came back to view the forum because some friends told me Simpson was released and I was interested in the responses.

I'm not supporting the club because they have shown that they will sign players who are violent towards women while footballers. This manager. This ownership group.  Until those both change or a statement of some kind happens where they announce they will no longer do so, then I cannot give them my time or energy.

If someone does it before they're a pro/really young, that's one thing, but I think entertainers should lose their privileges to entertain when they do something so heinous as an active entertainer. I won't listen to Chris Brown's music or watch Roman Polansky films.  My line for stopping supporting the club was employing footballers who displayed violence towards women. Maybe you don't have a line, that's fine. Your choice. Maybe it's just a different line to mine? Would you still cheer on Luke McCormick? Lee Hughes? Adam Johnson? Is there ANYTHING the club could do to get you to stop supporting them?

I'm not looking for debate, just saying why I won't return to supporting the club for the foreseeable future and probably ever.

Who cares about me? Well some people do enough to accuse other people of being me... so hopefully you'll judge them on their own actions rather than mine. I'm sure there have been posters who get banned and return, or have multiple accounts, I'm not one of them. I just don't follow City anymore. If I change my mind I'll post on this account.

Just tagging you three because you've recently mentioned me.

Well said. Very much my thoughts too and why, for me, Simpson is the worst signing we’ve ever made. No other signing has ever  made me give away my season ticket and not renew.

  4. Definitely deserves a start. Many feel his attitude isn’t right but I’ve actually never felt that with him. I think his demeanour gives that impression but he always seems to be doing all he can on the pitch and his commitment and performances for the under-23s is testament to that.

I think his natural style doesn’t suit the way Pearson likes to play but he seems to have worked hard on his strength and hold up play and I now feel can share more of that responsibility with Martin. I’d be interested to see him, Semenyo and Weimann start on Tuesday.

    Hilarious.

We paid £2m for Engvall, he never scored a goal & we sold him 2 years later for £200k.

Palmer was a far worse signing when you take into account the fee & his wages.

Jody Morris? I could go on & on, £750k for Adelakun, who started what? 5 games?

A million for Watkins, Richard Foster, there are absolutely loads of them.

As far as I know, none of them were convicted of domestic abuse and dragged our clubs good reputation through the mud. I guess it depends what you want from your signings. Maybe some on here would be happy with Zouma and Goodwillie joining if they perform on the pitch, I definitely would not.

Thought he played the position incredibly well.  I didn’t see him caught out of position, certainly not constantly.  In what way did you see him out of position / unaware.  If there’s one thing I’ve seen from Scott this season, it’s that he has a bloody fantastic football brain for an 18 year old old.  I can’t think of many players of his type (an attack minded CM) who could go and play RWB and not be phased by it….least of all at 18.  I thought he got the better of a very talented and highly rated Tymon (22) last night.

    All about opinions though.

He was my MOTM last night.

    Completely agree

  7. OP is the exact reason I try to stay off this forum as much as possible. Shows a complete lack of understanding of where the club was before NP arrived and the evolution we are going to need to get through this period.

I was also at the game and delighted to see the likes of Scott and Benarous given a chance. We also played on the front foot first half.

2nd half was poor but that doesn’t just mean immediately we call for a new manager.

We need  to have some patience especially with these young players- get behind the direction the club is taking. A focus on developing our own player, playing the players that work hard in training and give a shit, and backing out experienced manager to mould a team is what we need.

calls to replace the Manager are short sighted and show zero understanding of where we are right now and what we need to do to get back on track

  8. I keep being sucked into this but then i remember that if we win a couple of games on the bounce everyone will suddenly be talking about play offs and what a decent job he’s doing. Then we lose and the club is rotten to the core. All part of modern football unfortunately.

Have some patience and judge him at the end of the season
