Blimey, and I thought I was the pedantic one - ok, I don’t believe winning the Football League Trophy as manager of Sunderland when your opponents are all from the bottom two tiers of English football plus a group of youngsters looking for experience from higher clubs, is an ‘achievement’ ... Happy now pedantic one?
Moving the goalposts again.

I haven’t tried to degrade LJ’s cv - he has zero achievements on it - that’s all I said, and it’s pretty true ....
It's not true.

You’ve conveniently added in the word ‘major’ here when before you were just talking about ‘achievements’.

What was it about those who challenged you that made you think they were cancel culture/snowflake brigade?
Or is it just that the Daily Mail/Telegraph has told you that anyone who disagrees with you about anything is ‘cancel culture/snowflake’?
Just trying to understand your apparent view that anyone who may have ‘supported’ LJ is a snowflake/cancel culture and how on earth it’s related.
Such a pedant that they can't handle when someone corrects them.

I have some sympathy with him.
His signing was ill thought out. He has never really fit with our style of play, whatever that is. Shunted out onto the left wing, never given a run of games up front, as he should be. Similar situation to Weimann to me, play him in the right position and he will score.
According to NP, he is a model trainer and has asked to play for the U23's to stay fit.
Good luck to him if he can find the right club to take him.

Bristol City for all of them, except local which is Gloucester City (or Cheltenham Town if you're only counting league sides).

Very childish, how many young fans would have seen these idiots yesterday & asked their guardians what it meant, how would you begin to explain it ??
"It's got rude words on it"
Would suffice for now for my 6 & 4 year olds. I get the point you're making, but you have to explain lots of difficult or rude things to kids.
Don't like the shirts personally, pretty classless.

People have been desperate to paint him as a problem ever since he arrived, and I'm not sure what it's based on.
I think it's a simple as his demeanour. He seems to get easily frustrated on pitch (with his teammates, himself) and to be honest I don't blame him.
I'd also look irritated if I'd signed as a striker and kept being asked to play on the left wing.
Much like Weimann, I think he could be a real asset if utilised correctly.

The answer is doors, but it sparks a hell of a debate! Polo's and doughnuts do not count as wheels though! A wheel is something that is intended to be a wheel! Those other things are just round! BUT! Where does a cog in a machine fit in.....? It's purpose is to rotate.....
Graaaaaaarghhhhh!!!! Think i might be joining you Pongo!
Piss off Watts it's clearly wheels

That has to be one of the most misguided, twisted logic posts I've ever seen on here.
Says far more about the poster than the entire generation that he or she was trying to comment on.

Why are we playing Scott at RB? Seems ridiculous to me.
Criminal waste of his abilities

Had that too, landing in snowy conditions at Luton Airport, I was only 17 at the time. They weren't crying but they did have their heads in their hands.
That's because they were arriving at Luton

I think Vyner was decent midweek. He's had a number of decent games as well as bad imo.
He made a vital block on a shot first half after Pring had made a tired looking pass to the opposition.
Vyner made a bad error 2nd half that gave Swift a chance to shoot but comfortable O'Leary save.
As Pearson said, he needs to find consistency. Not helped by us being an unorganised side defensively.
There isn't much he can do about losing his physical battles when up against much stronger opponents.
Not sure why Pearson put him central of the 3 against Mitrovic after how he played against Birmingham in the middle of a 3 up against Deeney.
And he can switch off at times too. If we play 4 at the back and he's right back then he can look vulnerable one on one.
I thought defensive midfield suited him more when we saw him last season. But Pearson must disagree with that.
Agree with everything you say bar the last bit - I think he is a defender and right side of a back three is ideal.
The bit in bold is key. If he can focus and get through games without the lapses in concentration then I think he will improve as he goes on.

Obviously about opinions, but think Vyner offers us more.
Firstly he’s been shunted between RB, CB (in a 2 & in a 3) and CM.
I don’t see a lack of competitive edge at all, but a player who has been dominated physically by Deeney & Mitrovic, which suggests in a side with Kalas & now Klose we would expect them to deal with those type of players.
He was very good in midweek & I believe he always gives his best, as a presumably lower wage, decent availability, versatile squad player I would personally keep him.
I agree with you on the whole but his problems seem to stem from a lack of concentration or at times, composure. I wonder after ~150 pro games and at the age of 24 if this is something he's able to sort out or if he's just going to have these "moments" forever. Jury's out for me.
Same for Taylor Moore, but it appears he's finished here.

The emergence of and growing experience gained by some of our younger players: Scott, Semenyo, Benarous being the obvious ones but also with matchday involvement for Bell and Conway. Also the involvement of O'Leary and Pring, despite being a bit older, it's been a breakthrough season for both of them.

We need to play our best team, not our best 11 individuals and for me we play better as a team with MOL between the sticks.

An impressive career. He also played over 100 times for Barnet.
