Dare I say Vyner did ok since coming on apart from the late free kick

I agree, but he shows some naivety in his game that needs to be eradicated or he'll never make it at this level - simple things like getting the wrong side of the attacker.

Hopefully Pearson's influence will help like it has with some others.

I think Kasey Palmer gets a lot of unfair flak. People seem to jump to assumptions about his attitude but it feels to me their only basis is others’ assumptions about his attitude.

For me, he tries when he plays. I think a major issue is he is a confidence player and you can see when the confidence is not there. But the bigger issue is he just does not fit in with how we want to play.

Don’t get me wrong. We signed him without a plan and we are now under a third manager that cannot use him. He needs to move for his own sake. But I am not so sure that this is the fault of his failings rather than our poor player acquisition.

A hard disagree for me, I'm afraid. (For what it's worth, I have no idea what his attitude is like.)

In terms of application he is sorely lacking. Last time I saw him play was a 13 minute cameo against Forest. We are 1-0 up and trying(!) to see the game out. KP is the fresh legs and should be the one busting a gut to put the opposition under pressure and he doesn't. He ambled round the pitch and we would have been better off leaving Scott on, who was knackered by that point.

It's just one example, sure, and I don't blame him for the loss, there's 11 of them out there after all. But I did not see a player there with desire. I did not see a player there willing to work for his teammates or his own place.

Feels like this whole "Derby are a good side" thing is a bit of a myth.

Without the points deduction they'd still be below us in the table. Underlying stats show them to be performing at the standard of a side in a relegation battle too.

I don't think anyone is claiming they are world beaters, but they are not the hopeless whipping boys that they were expected to be.

In fairness if you’ve not bought any food inside for years, you’re probably out of touch with some of the excellent food they have sold over the past few seasons.  Pies aren't as nice this year admittedly, but until this season definitely not poor value for money / overpriced imho.

I think the food is overpriced in comparison. A Clarks pie is only £2.15

I think there are many ways to be the best player. Last night and on Saturday, Bakinson's positional play in defence was better than I have ever seen him play. Rather than following the "**** 'em up get into 'em" chant from those who don't really understand how defending works, he worked with the others to cut down options and showed a lot of patience to stay in the shape.

I think his positional discipline has noticeably improved over the last few games. He seemed to have a better understanding last night of when to hold and when to go. He drove us forward with the ball a few times as well.

Maybe others were more deserving but I think he did very well last night.

I'm not sure if that's a reply to me?

Forest Green Rovers are building a swanky new stadium outside of Stonehouse so in theory there will be good train links from North and East (lower carbon footprint). If they then reopened the train line to Bristol they would have links to South and West. I guess the Nailsworth fans would have to travel by tandem bicycle to keep it green.

The new stadium would be about 2.5 miles from Stonehouse station

Maybe treading on forbidden lawns here, but is Bentley part of the problem rather than the solution?

I think so, and I appreciate it is not a popular opinion.

His main problem is that he does not command his area. Commanding the box gives huge confidence to the defenders in front of you and I think this is partly why our defence often sits so deep. He is also not the incredible shot stopper he is lauded as being on here.
