Are you actually worried about relegation?
No, but after losing at Blackburn, a few on here were getting twitchy about the possibility of QPR closing the gap to 5 points.

QPR losing to Southampton, which if stays that way, means we have re established our 12 point gap over the relegation places

They’ve got Leicester at home on Monday and Leicester away on the 13th of Jan.

No , we took the game to them & forced them into mistakes
Yes, but they allowed us to take the game to them by being passive. If I were a Hull fan I’d be asking why they didn’t go for the third goal to finish us off.

Rosenior's POV.
Wasn't he a bit after the loss here laat season too.
Hull manager Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside:
"I'm not being disrespectful to Bristol City but at the moment they scored the second goal we shouldn't concede, we were in complete control of the game.
"I thought we showed again a really good resilience and character to come back. They get a penalty, we respond really well and get two goals and in that moment, and in the second half especially, we felt we controlled the game in our shape and with the ball.
"But for two really really poor moments we end up losing the game.
"It's really frustrating. If we'd had come here tonight and were beaten by far the better team and they were better than us in every department I'd tell you the truth, but it's not the case.
"That's almost even more frustrating from my point of view as from a coaching perspective - I'm sat up in the stand today - we look a good team home and away but if we want to achieve what I think is possible for this group we have to learn on the job really quickly and not throw points away."
Hull decided to sit on their 2-1 lead and paid the price. Simple as.

Another tight game which I’ve a sneaky feeling we’ll nick 1-0.
Up The City.

Billy Sharpe who are you?
Certainly not the player who’s scored multiple time against us for Scunthorpe and Sheffield United called Billy Sharp.

It really depends on the team Moyes chooses to field on the day. They’ve played a lot of football and are through to the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Cant see the FA Cup being a priority, but that doesn’t mean to say he won’t pick a strong team.

We’ve sold out West Ham away. There’s only so much money to go around.

Ironically, I think that was our worse performance under Liam. Delighted with the win, however. Keep within touching distance of the playoff heading into Jan and I’m quietly confident (if we can get the 2/3 players required).
Barring a cup reply, there are no midweek games after New Year’s Day for 6 weeks. Gives the coaches a lot more time to affect the change in playing style we were promised.

Well played Max O’Leary, he made two world-class saves.
We worked our socks-off all over the pitch to pick up a great three points, against a very good Sunderland team.
Character, commitment, bravery and hard work, well played!
Indeed. Worry that they won so many headers in our box. Defending set pieces has been a strength which seems to be slipping somewhat.

That was really poor from Mehmeti.
-
A tale of two shaky defences.
Mehmeti has to score. He misses these chances far too often.

The worrying thing for me is how the passsing game and playing out from the back was so readily abandoned last night in favour of Max hoofing it long at every opportunity. From a coaching/management perspective consistency is key. Once you start giving out mixed message you’re in trouble.

I see Williams for James as no more than rotation. Expect to see James back in the team on Friday.
