I’d have gone with TGH instead of Andi, otherwise as expected.

The fact that Chair is forced to sit it out is a big plus.

If Pearson were in charge I’d expect us to beat QPR and Hudds and pick up a point from one of the other 3 games, so 7 points would be acceptable imo.

I missed the latter days of Ward, Shaun Taylor returning made a major difference.. 13 pts from the last 8 or 9 games..
We had a rally in April, 3 wins in the bounce but we couldn't sustain it sadly. Say we had a fair ref v Birmingham. Benny's first 2 games especially but 5 were catastrophic.
Bradford (A) 0-5
Wolves (H) 1-6
Stockport (H) 1-1
Crystal Palace (A) 1-2
Birmingham (A) 2-4
18 goals in 5 games.. we actually tightened up somewhat thereafter .
The real tragedy was it took us 8 years to get promoted back up.

The game was played 9th Nov 1974, so 49 years ago to the day.
That was some year 1974. I was at Elland Road in Feb. Was at the Man U game. And then when we beat the them 4-1 at Eastville post Xmas.
Happy Days indeed.

Didn’t watch it, but would be understandable if their minds weren’t on the game, but events elsewhere.

I think sacking Nige was a huge mistake, but that’s water under the bridge now. FWIW I think we have an upper mid table squad who would have finished 10-12th under Nige. If the new Mann can do better than that I’ll be pleased.
COYR.

Thank you Curtis. Your integrity, honesty and work ethic is there to see in spades.
Best of luck for the future.

Some of the comments on this thread are ridiculous. I get the frustration about Pearson leaving but seeing people write him off because they don’t know anything about him is unfair. He fits the brief of what the club wants in terms of style of play and has plenty of top class academy experience. If we are willing to spend so much on compensation then we must be convinced he’ll be the right man
It doesn’t matter who we employ, if we keep selling our best players we'll be going nowhere fast.

So the new coach is being announced to the players today by WhatsApp. Are you sure about that?

I have heard today the players will find out who the new head coach is tomorrow, weather an announcement will follow in the media or not I'm unsure but it certainly looks like its extremely close
Not only has the new coach not been announced to the players today, the players aren’t even at the HPC today. They have a day off and return to training tomorrow.

Apart from he’s still recovering from a 6 week absence, nothing’s happened to TC.

Four defeats in a row, at home to Stoke next week (not a side you’d pick to play when you’re close to the brink)
With the international break coming up and Curtis more than capable of leading the team at QPR, We might do well to sit on our hands this week and see how it plays out at Coventry.

Problem is it was pure luck, had it been a proper touch it would of been a goal but we will take it
Give the kid a break. He’s not perfect, but his catching was impeccable today and commanded his box vey well.

Coventry losing again. Could Robins be out of a job come Monday morning?

I maintain that Conway is better playing as part of a 2 and not a lone striker. Cornick and Conway would be interesting.
I would like to see TC playing the No 10 role behind Cornick.

A stupid foul by Sykes.

When will the TV producers learn not to show replies when the ball is in play.

A very positive interview in some ways really hope they back up those words
I thought the number of “you knows”, a form of seeking reassurance, betrayed both his defensiveness and nervousness.

Anybody who sets up with a back 3 is an absolute no no for me.

From Tinnion said in his Pyongyang style interview we’ll continue with a 433 formation.
Can’t recall how Brum set up against in Aug. Wasn’t 532 was it?- 1

A truly awful half of football.
Andi’s not a midfielder. If you’re going to play him, play him on the right of the front 3 and move Sykes into Midfield. Better still bring on TGH.
