They played a few different formations. Yes in some games they played 3 at the back with a midfield four with Wilson on the right, and in other games they played a back four with Wilson at FB, just as I said.  I didn't say he exclusively played in a four.

I know what you said. Everywhere I can see they didn't play a back four at any point but rotated as you said three different formations all with 3 centre backs

Pearson has said a few times in interview that he likes a back four but hasn't had the personnel - presumably his recruitment may be to remedy that.  Wilson played in a back four last season. Agree with you about Dasilva - maybe that's where Naismith will play?

FGR played with three centre backs and wing backs.

  3. If the season started today with no more incoming's who would you start.

    I would go with a 3 5 2:

                         Bentley

             Klose Naismith Atkinson

    Wilson           Williams                Pring

                     Scott        James

                Weimann        Martin

    He's 20 not 27, he's still learning

Agreed I think fans forget this as he was introduced to the first team very early on.

He gets less patience than others in his age bracket because of his exposure to the team which is wrong. Semenyo is case and point to not writing players off this early in their careers.

  5. I don't feel the same. Admittedly alot of the topics NTTDS does post I don't have any interest in but it may do for someone else. I just don't engage with those topics, don't think we need to cap this. Infact I'm happy we've got such a lively forum and wouldn't want to restrict that.

  6. I can see alot of posts with a selected back four for next season.

Just curious to why considering we've signed Naismith who's predominantly played in his newly acquired position of CB in a back 5 with Luton and hopefully the incoming of Wilson who is also a wing back.

How do you think we will set up next season?

That was later than the initial tweets from “stevorobins”, who seems to have started it.

Weird he says he's an Argyle fan in his bio yet posts everything city related. I think its bullshit to be honest but would be over the moon to be wrong..

    Naismith - Klose - Atkinson - Tanner is a tidy back 4.

I reckon we'll continue with 3 centre backs especially at the beginning of the season. Although he's not going to pick his own position in the team Naismith in his interview said he's versatile but predominantly coming in as a CB. Just my hunch.

Why are so many people getting stressed about Lee Johnson and Mark Ashton? They’ve gone. You can’t go through life looking backwards

Some fans seems to have an obsession with both. I actually wish LJ all best, think he really wanted to succeed with us. Not so much MA but that's put to bed now.

If he carry's on his rate of progression next year, he will be worth even more. Get another year out of him, and then sell him. The club extending his deal is exactly the right thing to do.

Of course its the best thing to do but he'll only have a year left if he doesn't sign.

He's got prem clubs circling who will atleast triple his wages and he'll get to play in the top league that's very hard to compete with. If he has only one year remaining next year we are held to ransom by clubs knowing they'll get him via tribunal at the end of his contract on the cheap.

Think since the Swansea game when he was poor & Vyner ran out of chances, he’s only started 3 times & had been taken off early in 2 of those (Forest & Bournemouth).

I’m not convinced Pearson is sure that as he’ll be 25 next season, he’s going to be good enough to consistently play at this level.

The summer will be interesting to see what happens, he could stay & start next season as Dasilva’s understudy or he could move on to League One.

I like his effort, although he appears to be the anti Vyner in that he never gets criticised whereas Zak constantly does, truth is though he’s lost his man several times leading to us conceding goals.

True but I would also add that not only his effort is likeable but he's impacted games in a much more positive way than Zak. I remember him driving forward and starting off attacks which was benefitting us. I'm sorry to say Vyner just isn't Championship standard just like we've established with Moore.

I think its a simple case that Nigel prefers Idehen currently which takes up that bench spot.
