If Bentley isn’t signing the contract that’s been on the table for quite a while then if performances drop why should Pearson keep him in the team? Theres a choice to give someone an opportunity who will be here next year.

While I don’t necessarily agree with everything said, I completely agree with this statement. The back 4/5/6 whatever formation we play needs ripping up and starting again. In fact given the choice at the moment I’d keep Rob Atkinson and replace the rest. Harsh on Naismith maybe but he’s not improved us defensively. It’s been diabolical at the back for years now, before Pearson, but I hoped as a former defender himself he might have been the man to sort it.

I think O’Dowda joined us in the summer after Oxford won promotion from league 2 but hadn’t yet played in league 1.

I’d be more than happy to see Tanner get some pitch time. Have seen absolutely nothing out of Wilson in the pitch time he has got. You’d think he be chomping at the bit to make an impression but we see the complete opposite.

Swap him with Atkinson at least. If he’s gonna give the ball away let it not be right in the middle of the pitch.

I think if the announcement that other sports were still on had been a bit earlier then we would all be going to the game tomorrow. As it is the FA took their shot early expecting everyone else to tow the same line. *FWIW I think it’s nonsense that the game is off and having every ground in the country singing the national anthem would have been a far better tribute than cancelling 11 year olds football matches at Frys

Hated that badge since it was released, I don’t have a single nice thing to say about it, but I don’t care what some magazine or podcast or Twitter poll thinks. The opinion of our own fans should be all that matters.

Has a real partnership with young TC and they are causing all sorts of problems at the moment. I’m pleased for him, hasn’t gone bitching and moaning in the press or on social media and has got himself back in the team. Fair play

I’m not sure if this is how it works but 4 refs retired from the Prem last season in Friend, Dean, Moss and Atkinson. Does the mean that the better (haha) officials from the Championship have made the step up and we’ve got new referees this season?

I know deep down it’s not true but **** me I feel like we are being victimised this season. 3 out of 4 games we’ve had significant decisions go against us. Niges comments about walking away are probably said for impact but it would be amusing if he just said enough and walked the players off the pitch

If we could sell Scott right now, as much as it would be a shame not to see him develop here, he’s not integral to the team at the moment and is replaceable. Semenyo is far harder to replace from a goals/assists point of view but if he’s not going to sign a new contract (and he isn’t imo) then we also have to cash in. Personally I think we will end up with AS gone by the end of this window, Scott next summer, and I think TK HNM will go next summer for nothing with Bentley signing a new contract.

Is it wrong to expect us to get something out of a team we smashed 5-0 at the end of last season, and a newly promoted side? Or to expect some sort of defensive improvement?

I’m no Vyner fan by any stretch but to put him at fault for the second goal is just scapegoating in my view. He was one on one with their best forward who beat him, no different to any other battle across the pitch during the game. Questions need to be asked how he was left in that position. Also. Two games. Two assists. Not bad

I’m not sure it has at the moment. The one year extension wouldn’t have likely included a pay rise, and I think there’s still a chance to get a few quid for him. He’s got championship experience, and I think probably still has a reputation as a unrealised talent from his Luton days. Someone’s always willing to take a punt on that kind of player and be the one who gets the best out of them - Palmer, JET (though I think we did - others didn’t), Berahino, Ravell Morrison, etc

When he’s on the ball I thought he showed some real promise. Used it well, some good through balls, popped up with a few goals. It was his complete lack of movement, urgency and desire off the ball that infuriated most fans, and possibly Nige. As much as football fans will forgive a lack of technical ability if a player puts in all the effort possible, they won’t put up with laziness on the pitch.

A Block Dolman is pretty quiet nowadays numbers wise and close to the away fans like some have been asking for. Organise your own expansion maybe? The club can’t stop that

Agree about the cladding on the top of the Dolman, surely they could do something interesting with it (watch them come up with some godawful hashtag now). Also it’s about time they stuck some signage on the outside of the stadium -City/Bears badges. They might be waiting for the full redevelopment to be finished but I think it’s a nice touch on a stadium

Does pattern help at all? Again please forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject. Say for example using the green/red clash, if one team had a green/white striped kit does that make it better?
