Talk about cherry picking your stats. It’s not two crosses two goals, plenty of crosses have come in and Max has done very well claiming the ball or getting a good punch on it. Including one late on today coming through a crowd to claim the ball in injury time. Bentley has been massively inconsistent since he came into the team, LJ dropped him after the covid restart and he cost us points against Luton this season, with some fingers defo pointed at him vs Forest too.

I would normally agree with that statement wholeheartedly but the first goal today was super composed. Lobbing the keeper was the perfect finish

It would be good if they could stock it appropriately for the event. With some rolling clothes rails and a space for storage it wouldn’t take too long to make it a City shop for City games, a Bears shop for Bears games and a bit of each in the week. You possibly miss out on the few people who pick up Bears bit at a City match and visa versa but if you can get more decent varied stock in for each team then that should be offset. Click and collect could still be an option for those who want to get something for the other side

God that list is depressing/damning. The only hope of any profit out of that is HNM and we are only even starting TK and DB (HNM most of the time).

No idea what goes through their heads sometimes. Quid a kid is great, but fully in the knowledge they are getting an adult in with that and the price for that is jacked up (see other championship v championship prices above) to cover the difference I hope city fans vote with their feet on this one

Given the way he was shouting at City fans on his way off I assumed he was a Derby fan but have no idea for sure. Looked round and there he was in the centre circle, not quite sure what to do with himself once he had got there.

The issue here from my point of view is that in a majority of these pictures the man on the ball is in the space between midfield and defence. That’s a midfield issue for me and further highlights the problems we have in there. TB and HNM are good improving young players but they absolutely categorically need someone with experience in there guiding them. Ideally someone who sits behind them in that Pack role that Williams has played in the last few games giving them a bit more freedom further up the pitch. We need James or Williams on the pitch at all times to have a sniff in the middle and we don’t have it currently. Given the sheer number of midfielders we have it’s actually laughable that we need another one in January but I think we do.

Used to get a pasty on my way to my seat as a ritual but that stopped this season when they changed the supplier, awful fare. Why they changed an award winning supplier I don’t know. I have tried some of the other suppliers though and can recommend the Mexican outside as well as Feed The Goat, either of their curry’s are amazing. But the prices for anything in and around the stadium is now ridiculous

Not sure there was 18k there Saturday as per the official attendance, lots of gaps in the Dolman and SS. Might have been why traffic was lighter, was noticeably quieter in the concourse too

It’s a stupid situation. We all know SL is the man in charge. I don’t buy this step back away from the board role, everything still goes through him. It massively dilutes JLs position as chairman and plenty of people have pointed out we only see him when there’s a kit launch. It’s almost like even the badge redesign (which I still detest btw) was a ‘project for Jon’. In my opinion I don’t think we need to hear from anyone every time there’s a poor run of form, the vote of confidence does nobody any favours, and is worthless.

Our social media content has gone from trying new stuff like the gifs, to following whatever has been trending on Twitter in the last week (like the HNM hair thing). I think a lot of it is mis-judged timing wise with no idea of the current feeling of the fans when things are tense. FWIW I mute the club account and check the team sheet at 2pm and that’s about it nowadays

Assuming the outcome of ‘the project’ is to get City into the Premier League, just how much work needs to be done, money needs to be spent, to get us even challenging for the play offs. Looking at the current side we probably have the very bare bones of a team that could compete at the top end of the table in the next few years. Atkinson, HNM, Kalas, maybe Bentley/Semenyo, already look like players who could fit into a team in that position. The rest, nope, thanks, move into squad players as we recruit or move on. Pring, Tanner, Scott are players in the first team who could develop into those kind of players, we don’t know yet. There seem to be a few other promising young uns but those are the ones currently in the team. Therefore we need minimum 7 new players to get us competing. And that’s making a massive assumption that we are able to keep those players above and Kalas/Bentley keep at current levels as they get older so it’s probably more. We would probably need to sell someone for big bucks to even think about affording that sort of rebuild. I know Pearson has talked about this as a 3 year project, but I personally think that’s pie in the sky given the squad building required and the cost of this. Settle in for a few more years of mediocrity unless these academy lads turn out to be world beaters, because I don’t have faith in our recruitment. Feeling very pessimistic about City at the moment. I want it to work with NP but unless he is backed with significant funds or a top class recruitment team, of which we appear to have neither, then I fear the pressure for results will become too much and he won’t get the time/funds to see if he can see the project through.
