Seems like JL seemed to think the ‘sell players for massive money’ gravy train was going to go on and on. You just can’t use that as a business model, especially when the recruitment was as poor as LJ/MA. We could all see that we were running out of talent to balance the books, MA knew this and swiftly abandoned ship. The club essentially was milked dry of saleable assets (most of which weren’t even signed by MA/LJ which really p1sses me off but that’s not the point). Has the team under achieved this season? Not for me and I think it’s a bit embarrassing JL has come out and said that. Fair play NP on pulling him up on it. Has the CLUB under achieved since receiving almost 100m in transfer fees? Absolutely. The finger is pointed fairly at LJ and MA but ultimately they all report into the Lansdowns so they have to take some responsibility. Oh and speaking of identity I still hate that stupid robin badge we have.

100x this. That’s what this season is about Another match where our inexperienced players are learning. They will learn far more from a season like this than anything on the training pitches. Results like this are annoying but if Pring does that again I’ll be very surprised.

Agree he could/should have had a couple today but even the two he had that hit the post and the side netting seemed far more controlled than the pot shots he was taking 6 months ago. Also played AW in for the third when maybe previously he may have tried to get a shot off himself. I think this could be lift off for his career.

We need to get someone to cover at RWB to get Alex Scott playing in the middle of the pitch. What a performance from him in there today. Composed, creative and didn’t get bullied by a couple of experienced players in the middle in Pack and Ralls. If we could have 3 years of Scott Semenyo and HNM we could build a team around them, sadly I think we will be lucky to keep them in our current financial position.

Sorry that’s what I was trying to get at (badly). If we were worried about COD leaving we would have enacted it. But I guess form does come into it. If he was tearing up the league then we may have pinged on the extra year already

Didn’t we recently take up the one year option on Bakinsons contract? Says a lot that the club are looking at tying down the players they want by enacting these clauses and COD isn’t in that conversation. Sounds like the club simply don’t think he is worth what we are paying him.

Hard to say when nobody’s really seen him. Going to have to leave it up to NP and the coaching staff based on what they see in training

IF (and I don’t think for one second we will be) we take a points deduction, surely it’s the lesser of two evils as far as relegation is concerned. If we have to take a hit then there will absolutely be other clubs in the same boat. That gives us a fighting chance to avoid relegation if we can keep a squad together. If we sell the house then unless there are miracles in the transfer market we are condemning ourselves to relegation anyway. I think as others have said this is Richard Gould using the media a bit here. He’s already got a big piece out on parachute payments and I think we will see more of this under him than Ashton

Yes I do go and watch. Just because someone has a different opinion to you (it does happen in football) don’t be so rude as to ‘super-fan’ yourself and make out your opinion is more valid. So consistent he’s been dropped. Good one.
