  1. I saw them at Butlins at some awful 90s revival weekend about 10 years ago
  2. No way this sells out
  3. I see the old Basso saying has been rolled out again now it's renewal time. I'll say it: I don't believe anymore
  4. I will miss my rewards portal though. I've enjoyed accumulating points and having nothing of note to 'buy' with them. Market leading.
  5. Reckon they put Tinnion on radio Bristol tonight to try and get people on board for next season before a price announcement tomorrow? That's backfired
  6. Quick question. Who do you think put us in this financial position? The fans? No it's the people running the club and their strategy. Ultimately they are also the people covering the losses but let's be clear they have run up those losses on behalf of the football club. Side point - excuse me if I don't feel any guilt about not giving the club another £350+ when there's a billionaire flying in from his tax haven every week to watch the games.
  7. Communicated to my group today that I'm unlikely to renew next season for the first time in 20 years. It just feels like a chore and an obligation, like going to work. I'm not enjoying it and it puts me in a bad mood if we play like we have been and lose. I don't mind us being beaten by better sides if we put up a fight but there's nothing. It's not front foot, high press, attacking football. It's not even the quick breaking, counter attacking football we did have. I pay for entertainment. It's not entertaining. Sticking with the work analogy, I'd love an exit interview
  8. The problem is he is completely dependent on player performance in those changes. He's luckily Sykes and Roberts have come on and been better than the players replaced. And i only say this because I don't remember a tactical in game change he's made bar QPR where we ending up with 6 forwards on and nobody creating.
  9. Would be good if we can come together on this one. SM does so much for fans and I think he's even stepped up a few times to help out some of our blue Bristolians across the river. The club should also be helping out here - maybe by giving him the testimonial he very much deserves. Come on SL I bet that's less than a weeks wages you were happy to pay for Jens Hegeler/Adelekan/Nicky Hunt
  10. The question only raises its head in the boardroom I suspect when they genuinely belief we are in a relegation battle. Now some of us can see the way things are going already, but I suspect as he's 'their man' they will be seeing things though a slightly more optimistic view. If they believe we are going to stay up then they will stick by him and carry on with the 'plan'. Which will be back him in the summer no doubt. I suspect the threshold will be something like 4 points from the bottom 3 at which point they have to make a call on if they still believe he is the man for the long term project, or if he is even the man to keep us up.
  11. My seat wasn't in an area where I could get rained on for an hour. That's the only positive I'm taking from today.
  12. I think he wants out and doesn't want us in a bad financial position that a) makes us less attractive to sell, and b) means he has to keep ploughing money in until he can sell.
  13. It's not just kids football I reckon, our league finish date has been extended to cope with all the fixtures that now need to be rearranged. Artificial pitches are generally the only way to get a game on at this time of year but the cost for them is nuts. For example a 90 minute game on the 4G at Imperial is £160! Compared to £100 at Frys which are generally some of the better pitches in Bristol when not under water.
  14. Please don't back him and review in November. It's just another season written off at best. If there's no sign of improvement on NPs performance why would you chuck more money at it. This guy is hired as a head coach and was given a top 6 squad to play with. We've gone backwards. Yes I'm going to use that line as a stick to beat them with because they were stupid enough to say it.
  15. Knight has added some goals to be fair but I don't think the role he is in gets the best out of him.

    Sid Out

Get the lot of them gone
  17. Who is Manning actually getting the best out of since he's come in? Mehmeti you could probably say is improved on the basis he was barely in the squad. As to if he's any better than under NP, in short bursts yet. Joe Williams probably yes. That aside, Conway looks a shadow of his former self, whether that's tactics or something else we absolutely aren't playing to his strengths, Knight fits into that comment too. We've got wide players in Sykes and Bell who have played wingback more often than wide forward, TGH who ends up on the bench more often that not, and Tanner seems terrified every time he crosses the halfway line. This guys a coach right? So what's he managed to coach out of our players to improve them because at best as a team with stagnated, and individuals are going backwards. Personally I think he's lucky that Vyner and Dickie have had such good seasons and experienced players like James have been solid.
  18. Don't forget all the benefits like a market leading rewards portal in place of store discount
  19. I've never been so confident with 10 minutes to go that we weren't going to score. Could be playing till next Saturday and we still won't have scored
  20. I think Manning got it all wrong today. Starting line up, subs, formations in the second half
  21. Conceding was annoying enough but to see 10 odd QPR fans in the section next to the big screen celebrating was the cherry on the cake. Assume this is hospitality so the club don't care but that's not good enough, this is a home end. No subs
