  1. What it is, is the words that are going to haunt JL if we don't turn into prime Barcelona and get promoted this season
  2. While I get Tinns isn't flavour of the month at the moment, I think this particular criticism is unfair. Keogh, Orr, Russell, Brooker, resigning Carey, giving Lita and Skuse their chances as fully fledged first team players. Granted there were a couple of high profile signings that didn't work out but nobody would have turned down the chance to sign Marcus Stewart and Michael Bridges in league one.
  3. I'll be honest I'm just apathetic to the whole thing at the moment. The club isn't on the same page as the fan base, any player who has any sort of ability to get the crowd off their feet is sold, I feel like I'm going out of a sense of obligation now rather than going to be entertained
  4. 8 hours a week????? Have you lost your head????
  5. Jon, why did you decide to sack NP when over 90% of the fan base were behind him. I don't remember such a move ever taking place since I've been watching the team. A vast injury list was working against him yet results weren't bad. Jon/Brian, NP claimed that members of the hierarchy were questioning Andy Kings inclusion in the side. Do you think that's appropriate. Theres two for starters I'd want answered. Questions on the Scott funds, recruitment, does he really think this is a top 6 team, selling up, how he thinks we can improve when constantly selling our best players, past mistakes on allowing LJ and MA to run the FFP position into the ground, poor communication (interviews and fans forums long after the horse has bolted don't make up for this), the ONeills kit design/quality/contract/sales numbers/splat. Someone give me his number and a podcast
  6. Hasn't he played in every age group for England bar the seniors?
  7. Some City fan some rows back from me in S18 thought it appropriate to use the silence to make a hilarious joke to his mate in the seats in front - telling him to 'not blow his own trumpet'. To me that was more disrespectful than the Wednesday fans who clearly thought the end of the trumpet was the end of the silence and gave it a big 'come on Wednesday'. Mistakes happen. The City fan was wilful in making his funny funny joke
  8. I think the board have put themselves in a dangerous position really. If they get the wrong man and we plummet down the table - which isn't beyond the realms of possibility in the Championship - then very quickly things are going to turn very toxic, moreso than it is now. If the team is a top 10 team then we the fans now expect top 10. We (the majority anyway) expected a top 10 finish under NP so this 'improved' manager has to achieve that. Playing front foot attacking football. Good luck
  9. Honestly they should just keep quiet because every time they put something out it's just fanning the flames, mostly because what they say doesn't stand up to scrutiny. We were a top 10 team before the injury crisis, I fully believe we would have been a top 10 team after the next 2 games. They've made their decision, we already know 'it's their club they do what they like', just shut up and find us a new manager
  10. Is this part of the marketability of the club? Look at our big name manager?
  11. If this new manager doesn't hit the ground running then the levels of toxic are going to be unlike any seen before
  12. Ok so the question from me here is based off this line that Tinns repeats. The head coach who comes in needs to be able to play the way WE want as a football club. Why. No. Bring in a head coach with their own philosophy to how to compete at the top end of the table and be successful with that group of players. Why? Because they are head coaches and none of you lot on the board are. What happens if they come in and look at the squad and realise they can't extract that brand of football from them? I'd bet my house that if we got promoted purely by playing long ball, horrible Warnock-esq football nobody at the top is going to give two flying ****s and they'll take all the congratulations and plaudits on their way to Anfield/Old Trafford etc next season. If you want pretty, fast flowing, silky football maybe you shouldn't have sold Scott Semenyo and co.

  14. Talking to us like we are idiots, we can see through the BS and as such you are just stoking the flames.
  15. What? No big thanks to the owners for all their support and how lucky we are to have such men in charge with amazing facilities blah blah blah? They've got away lightly
  16. Some cracking signings too in fairness. Keogh, Orr, Brooker, and put Lita straight in the team
  17. I don't think ive ever seen us sack a manager with 90% of the fan base still firmly behind them. Probably the next most unpopular sacking was Danny Wilson?
  18. First suggestion, no eating or drinking inside the stadium. There's plenty of pubs, newsagents, bars around to get your pre match fill. Hit them where it hurts.
  19. Dredd

    He’s gone.

Seconded. Saved us from relegation while having his best players sold out from under him. A bigger achievement than he will ever get credit for from those at the top.
  20. Dredd

    He’s gone.

I've never been Lansdown out until this point, I've always been more grateful of the money he's put into the club and the things he's done. But this is disgraceful. Regardless of what he may think Steve L is a temporary custodian of OUR club and this is not what the fans wanted. Time to sell up and move on before your legacy is further tainted
  21. But in that time he's managed Watford in the Prem where they were at the bottom and well into a messy season, in Belgium (which I have no idea about), and us on a shoestring, losing his best players. My point was more comparative vs Eustace Beale Jones and Rowett. I don't understand why any of those would get monetary backing to build a squad but NP isnt. What have they achieved bar Jones getting Luton out of the lower leagues?
  22. No, nope, absolutely not, nah. None of these have the track record NP. I'd be royally p1ssed if one of these got backed to the hilt with the Scott money but SL won't give it to Pearson who has done all the dirty work and made the club millions by playing the youth.
  23. I think they have the same pitches up at the HPC
  24. But..but...I thought anyone could see they were the better football team in every game they played? Only to be undone by referees, dodgy offside decisions, and the opposition scoring more goals than them? Surely none of that is Joeys fault
