The problem is he is completely dependent on player performance in those changes. He's luckily Sykes and Roberts have come on and been better than the players replaced. And i only say this because I don't remember a tactical in game change he's made bar QPR where we ending up with 6 forwards on and nobody creating.

Would be good if we can come together on this one. SM does so much for fans and I think he's even stepped up a few times to help out some of our blue Bristolians across the river. The club should also be helping out here - maybe by giving him the testimonial he very much deserves. The question only raises its head in the boardroom I suspect when they genuinely belief we are in a relegation battle. Now some of us can see the way things are going already, but I suspect as he's 'their man' they will be seeing things though a slightly more optimistic view. If they believe we are going to stay up then they will stick by him and carry on with the 'plan'. Which will be back him in the summer no doubt. I suspect the threshold will be something like 4 points from the bottom 3 at which point they have to make a call on if they still believe he is the man for the long term project, or if he is even the man to keep us up.

It's not just kids football I reckon, our league finish date has been extended to cope with all the fixtures that now need to be rearranged. Artificial pitches are generally the only way to get a game on at this time of year but the cost for them is nuts. For example a 90 minute game on the 4G at Imperial is £160! Compared to £100 at Frys which are generally some of the better pitches in Bristol when not under water.

Please don't back him and review in November. It's just another season written off at best. If there's no sign of improvement on NPs performance why would you chuck more money at it. This guy is hired as a head coach and was given a top 6 squad to play with. We've gone backwards. Yes I'm going to use that line as a stick to beat them with because they were stupid enough to say it.

Knight has added some goals to be fair but I don't think the role he is in gets the best out of him.

Who is Manning actually getting the best out of since he's come in? Mehmeti you could probably say is improved on the basis he was barely in the squad. As to if he's any better than under NP, in short bursts yet. Joe Williams probably yes. That aside, Conway looks a shadow of his former self, whether that's tactics or something else we absolutely aren't playing to his strengths, Knight fits into that comment too. We've got wide players in Sykes and Bell who have played wingback more often than wide forward, TGH who ends up on the bench more often that not, and Tanner seems terrified every time he crosses the halfway line. This guys a coach right? So what's he managed to coach out of our players to improve them because at best as a team with stagnated, and individuals are going backwards. Personally I think he's lucky that Vyner and Dickie have had such good seasons and experienced players like James have been solid.

I actually do doubt that theres a keeper on the shopping list this year, not a number 1 anyway. Maxs distribution in our third is generally very good, it's when he has to hit it longer then he has a bit of a weakness (though he did easily hit halfway last night with a monster throw). I also think it's a myth he isn't commanding. Very rarely is there any sort of mix up with him and the defence, he's more than happy to come clear the ball outside of the box and has caught more crosses this season than Bentley did in his entire stay with us. His stature probably gives the impression he isn't commanding but he actually marshals the box very well

I like Owers a lot but sometimes when we go close or score he completely obliterates any other sound around him including commentary and crowd noise. Love the passion but hard to know what's happened sometimes
