  1. Awful referee yesterday in Dutch game and again tonight
  2. I agree , we’ve recently decorated bedrooms for our two sons, both too young for a tv in their room. My dad asked where we planned on putting the TVs he looked in shock when I said when they come to want a tv they probably won’t exist
  3. First time I’m actually excited for an England game for a long time - it’s a real 50/50, big game from Walker and Henderson tonight and we’ll beat them. Whoever wins tonight wins the tournament
  4. Morning all, woken to a dusting of snow in West Yorkshire this morning, with more expected. Safe journey to all
  5. Both under Warren so will be either of them
  6. Fury will fight Joyce or Dubois next
  7. I guess you’ve not had a reply either ! As per usual
  8. Gents , day out in Bristol can’t remember for how long and were trying three brother burgers based on recommendations.
  9. All good thanks , couple of days in Bristol this week. Hope all well with you. Upper tier came from Hearn , also said 30k tickets sold
  10. Exactly , if you want to be world champions , play the best and beat them.
  11. Apparently their not selling the top tier for the fight
  12. Lovely to see the last lad drinking a cup of what looked like Fanta - what a day he’s had
  13. This is Bellingham’s tournament, an absolutely outstanding player
  14. And also when people make stupid comments about his recruitment and question the players he’s brought in, mostly free transfers and a lot of untried players at this level
  15. Especially as offering replica kit for youngsters who purchase a half season ticket. The club has finally launched baby wear and I’ve stocked up with it couple of weeks ago rather than wait. I’ve feedback to our supporters liaison officer about the lack of stock, options in the shop as per normal you get no reply
  16. Did anyone see kalas there? I couldn’t but thought he might have been part of it considering the number of games they played together
  17. Absolutely right and it’s something that is frustrating when Pearson’s recruitment is discussed. Out of the players he has signed , Atkinson and Tanner have cost a fee , Wilson will be some form of compensation. I’m not sure about Bajic if we paid anything for him. Sykes, Klose, James, King & Naismith are all free transfers and whilst there is costs involved will be significantly low in comparison to a player where a fee is involved. We’re cutting our cloth accordingly with free transfers on experienced pros and punts on lower league players and with the later it’s bound to take them time to get used to championship football, you only need to watch a league one : two game to see the guff in class. The perception of players coming in on loan for me is you almost have to guarantee the player roll start a set % of games, you also have a player inevitably on higher wage than our players. We’ve been bitten before by these type of terms but ultimately I guess these players want to be playing at a club competing at the top of the league and not the bottom. It’s simple we simply have to stay up this year, whether by points or GD it doesn’t matter , financially relegation will be a disaster. The issues at the club are much bigger than Ashton, Johnson or Pearson and is still at the club. We were disproved as naive , able to be bullied under Johnson and yet two managers later the same is said now- it’s the culture of the club, Johnson snr and Cotts changed it for a period. I honestly think we’ll see a new manager in place before we play Rotherham , not saying I agree with that but I think the club will react and with the four week break will use that as an opportunity to bring a new guy in
  18. The danger is we lose on Saturday and we’re in the bottom three with four weeks until next game - fear you’ll be right
  19. For me personally, we’ve massively overspent on average championship players , in many wars we’ve gambled on reaching the premier league with the likes of Kalas , Bentley, DaSilva & Fam. We’ve paid high wages for those players and are not going to see these guys leave on a free (like several did last season). I’m making an assumption here but many clubs in the league (apart from those with parachute payments don’t really offer the wages we do as demonstrated by the comments about Naismith joining from Luton). As you say the structure off the pitch is there , on the pitch we’ve never got it right - the problem is bigger than Pearson, it’s been there longer than his tenure and will likely still be there when Pearson leaves which he’s commented on - it’s at the top of the club that has to be put right and it will flow down. Otherwise he’s repeat, repeat , repeat but with a different manager
  20. Doubt we’ll see him in the first team squad again
  21. For me his remit is simple keep us up whether that’s by points or GD I really don’t care. Then let him work in our revised financial position and THEN judge him
  22. In defence of Pearson he’s working with hands tied behind his back, our signings have mainly been free agents and from the lower leagues who will need time to get used to the championship, with respect to Wilson and Tanner the jump from league 2 to championship is huge. I think most people expected us to be lower half in the league and at the moment we’re below that expectation. The league is crazy across all teams no-one is showing any consistency. We have a number of platers out of contract in the summer and unfortunately it appears focus could be elsewhere - human nature. As I mentioned elsewhere is Pearson without criticism of course he isn’t, our defensive record is appalling, certainly something I thought we’d see an improvement in. But what options does he have, no money to change and injuries to key players. As I mentioned earlier the problems are deeper and longer than Pearson and go to the top of the club
  23. Agreed, is Pearson without criticism of course he isn’t but the problems at the club last longer than Pearson’s time here
  24. I think we are in a relegation scrap personally , whether we’re good enough to stay up time will tell , I think we are. The club is continuing to move high earners on and unfortunately whilst in that position and with young players we’re an inconsistent side. We simply have to stay up this year and look to lay foundations for the future within our means, is Pearson the man to do that in my opinion yes. @petehintonjust read your post and agree 100%. looking forward to listening to the live podcast tonight with comments that Pearson must go but with no solution !
