  1. Just About Glad - Elvis Costello
  2. I agree with you about Kick Off on the Amiga. Fantastic game.
  3. I’d say 1988-89 season. I remember the criss-cross design of the programme. Later that season we signed Super Bob Taylor I’ve got no memory of that game, though. Presumably it was the Robbie Savage playing for them? And the Trevor Morgan who once played for us?
  4. It’s very slow to begin with but it picks up.
  5. Kinder Murder - Elvis Costello
  6. Welcome @BigKiwi Once you get your bearings in Bristol I thoroughly recommend walking to the ground from the city centre. It’s a great walk about 30 mins) through the harbourside (a picturesque part of Bristol) with excellent pubs en route.
  7. Always The Sun - The Stranglers
  8. I’ve seen the first four episodes. Really enjoying it so far.
  9. Little Time Bomb - Billy Bragg
  10. Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day
  11. Tough game tomorrow. It’ll be a real test. I’ve only been there to watch us once - a 1-0 defeat (I think) in the cup about 20 years ago. I remember hardly anything about the game. Hopefully it’ll be more memorable (and for the right reasons) for the City fans travelling there tomorrow.
  12. Walking On Thin Ice - Yoko Ono
  13. I agree we need to move away from retro kits (although having said that I would quite like something along the lines of the 1986 Wembley one). I’d like white/black as an away kit and purple/lime for a third kit.
  14. Under My Thumb - The Rolling Stones
  15. My initial reaction during the game was that Cornick should have scored. But watching the footage I think he did well to react quickly to chest the ball down and get the shot on target. The keeper spread himself well and made a decent save.
  16. I loved that tackle and his determination to get back and make amends for the mistake. That sort of thing gets the crowd going and really endears players to the fans.
  17. In real time yesterday (albeit from my seat at the other end of the ground) it didn’t look like a pen because of the obvious change of direction of the ball when Naismith made the tackle. Looking at the footage, VAR might have given it, but as @Davefevs has pointed out, that would have been contrary to the way the game had been reffed (and I thought overall the ref was good yesterday). I really don’t like the way VAR can over-complicate things to the extent where these grey areas occur. There are justifiable reasons for arguing that a penalty should have been given. But in real time it looked like a good tackle, Naismith got the ball and the ref’s decision to not give the penalty was sound in my opinion.
  18. Entertaining game. City were excellent in the first half. In the second half we never really got going and WBA improved. A draw was a fair result and I’m happy with the point because they looked the more likely winners as the game wore on.
  19. Tango Till They’re Sore - Tom Waits
  20. Really hoping for a good performance and a win tomorrow to get our home form up and running. And to avoid seeing Brummies celebrating for the second time this season.
  21. I’ve never been keen on all black as our away kit, but I think it looks good. Thumbs up from me.
