A good away point last night, especially after going a goal down. Our away form is good. We really do needs to improve at home, though. Our performances at AG have been very drab and lacking in excitement to get the crowd going.

I agree. With Scott and Semenyo gone there are fewer surging runs. Massengo often got the crowd going with his energy. Out of the current players Pring can get the crowd on their feet when he runs with the ball (but we haven’t seen much of that this season). Also Weimann with his energy when he presses. But yes, those moments are currently few and far between.

Gutted. Spain deserved the win, though. They were the better side today.

Spain deservedly in front. They are passing and moving much better than us.

Such a disappointing performance. What happened to the high energy style we are meant to be adopting? I saw it from Brum, who were hungrier than us throughout, but not from us. We started very slowly. Then as we began to try to get a grip on the game we gave the ball away, which ultimately led to their first goal. Second half with Sykes on and Bell wide we stretched them more, but apart from the chance Wells didn’t put away we created nothing. Too much pedestrian football played at walking pace and far too many basic errors.

I’m expecting a tight game. I just hope we try to impose ourselves on the game and play with more pace than we did against Preston.
