Looks like the temporary kit we had before the Hirerite one with the white stripe across the middle was introduced.

I couldn’t to the game because my dad was working late (although he managed to duck out to get to AG) and I was too young to go on my own. I was too nervous to listen to the radio, so I didn’t know the score until my dad got back to work and phoned. Then I couldn’t get to sleep because of the excitement of going to Wembley. My dad was in the Enclosure that night and said it was pandemonium when Neville got the winner.

I’d forgotten about Adam Locke! He was a very classy right back. It was Llewelyn’s scuffed shot that led to the first goal v Chelsea when we beat them in the cup in the 89-90 promotion season.

It’s been a good season overall. The continuing emergence of young players is really positive, despite the pain of losing the likes of Semenyo and probably Scott We have have got through the financial difficulties after the Mark Ashton years and we can now look ahead to continue to build a squad to push towards the playoffs. It feels like we are in good hands under the helm of NP.

As others have said, a good end to the season. 14th is higher than I thought we’d finish after that WBA defeat at Xmas. Lots to be positive about, and hopefully and exciting summer ahead with the squad being freshened up.

Rumours Of War - Billy Bragg

Off the top of my head, my team of favourite players would be: Welch Orr, Flint, Newman, Bell Murray, Shelton, Tins, Walshy Super Bobby Taylor, Riley Dave Smith, Mark Gavin, Shaun Taylor, Howard Pritchard, Steve Neville, Alex Scott and Martin Scott would be in the squad.

Good starting line-up with a strong bench. It’d be nice to end the season with three points. COYR.

I hope Notts County get promoted. It’s a bit weird seeing them in the non-league.

Back To The Future, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, original Star Wars trilogy, Aliens.

It was a brilliant day. Noble’s first goal settled the nerves and the outpouring of emotion with the pitch invasion at the end (with the relegation in the late 90s followed by those play off failures still fresh in the mind) was awesome.

I used to quite like their ground (although the toilets in the away end were a sight to behold) even though I never saw us win or even score there. Haven’t been there since they re-developed it, but when I’ve seen it on highlights from games it looks a bit bland.

Such a shame. I love that part of Bristol.
