I’ve never been keen on yellow as our away kit, but we’ve had it before so fair enough. What’s really weird is the decision to use that new badge when the existing one is still in its infancy. And it looks awful.

Not sure if this has been posted on the forum before, but I saw this great photo on FB, taken from the flats before the Dolman was built. My great grandmother used to live in the flats and my dad said he remembered his uncles watching games from their balcony (but my dad claimed he always went in the ground to watch). I used to love those floodlights. Mods - any chance there could be a separate section for people to post old pics like this? There are threads with them every now and then and it would be good if they were all in one place. I find them fascinating.

I’ve only been to watch City at Luton once, must have been about 20 years ago. A cramped and ramshackle little ground, but full of character.

Official attendance announced as 19k, but it looked much lower than that.

Frustrating first half in which we didn’t look like scoring. Great finish by Weimann for our first goal (shows the value of shooting on sight) and excellent composure by Scott for the second. What a player he is. Overall a deserved win against a very limited Blackpool side.

Early goal for us would be good to break the barren run we are on in front of goal and to throw them off their game plan.

1000 away games is massively impressive. There must have been a quite a few very grim performances and results, though, which would take a lot of resilience. Fair play to Jerry.

Tonight’s squad shows just how threadbare we are. Huddersfield’s form is poor, but we’ve been struggling to score many goals recently. I predict a draw tonight. COYR

We have it a real go with some really good counter attacking play, but our final ball wasn’t quite good enough (which has been a feature of the last few games). But we stretched them at times, Alex Scott in particular looking every inch the talent that he is. Pring was superb as well. Wells led the line well. We were in the game until their second goal. Can’t ask for more than that. The little moments didn’t go our way (penalty appeal in the first half, Bell’s header in the second). Excellent atmosphere. Now let’s smash Cardiff on Saturday.
