  1. I often wonder how top managers like Pep, who get the best out of world class players, would get on in charge of lower division teams struggling to make ends meet.
  2. The Sound Of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel
  3. After our good performance last Saturday and win at Swansea I’m looking forward to this game. Two home wins on the bounce would be fantastic.
  4. Oh, and I quite like Klopp - he seems unhinged, which is always entertaining.
  5. Off the top of my head, managers I like/rate (but who I wouldn’t necessarily want at City) are: Mick McCarthy worked did well at Ipswich on a tight budget. Tony Mowbray’a teams always seem to play decent stuff. Gary Rowett’s sides always seem well organised. Neil Warnock is a great character who revels in his pantomime villain role. Mark Robins always comes across well in interviews. Alex Neil - horrible football but is able to get results. In terms of City managers, Terry Cooper is my favourite, no one else comes close. Then it’s Joe Jordan (first spell) and Cotts.
  6. She’s Got A New Spell - Billy Bragg
  7. Amazing pace from Bell. What a lung-busting run followed by a great finish.
  8. Yep, one of my favourites too. Didn’t he score from two free kicks in quick succession in a match against Plymouth?
  9. What a brilliant photo. That’s what I love about young players breaking into the first team - how much it means to them.
  10. Very pleased to get a win. Our results are improving. And congratulations to Sam Bell for his first City goal.
  11. Baby I Don’t Care - Transvision Vamp
  12. What absolutely idiotic behaviour from that Spurs fan. Overall fans can be much too quick to take offence when a player winds them up. Fans are willing to hurl abuse but don’t like it when players give some back. But the behaviour of some players is idiotic too. It seems to have become a thing for players to taunt opposing fans after they’ve scored. I can understand it if a player has been on the receiving end, but sometimes it’s completely needless, Deeney on Saturday being a prime example. Similar to how players dive and feign injury. Pathetic.
  13. I’ve started using that service now (hadn’t used it before this season) and it’s really good.
  14. Stay - Shakespeare’s Sister
  15. The Circle - Ocean Colour Scene
  16. I thought Sykes played well yesterday. It was good to see him in an attacking role and he caused Brum problems throughout the game, and got into the right positions for his goals.
  17. That was much more like it. We were far more incisive going forwards and seemed to play the ball much quicker. The league table looks much better tonight. COYR.
  18. It was great to see some life in that part of the ground again. Definitely helped with the atmosphere today.
  19. He was excellent again and a real threat on that left hand side.
  20. We desperately need a win today, not least to give the AG crowd a lift. Plus I really hate Brum.
  21. No Action - Elvis Costello & The Attractions
  22. Not sure what’s happened with Klose. He looked excellent last season, but this season has hardly had a look in. Presumably his injury early this season has had an impact on his fitness? Or is it because his legs have gone as age has caught up with him?
