My least favourite of our managers by a huge distance. I’ll never forget the joyous scenes in the away end at the game at Bournemouth after he left. The sense of relief created a carnival atmosphere.

Payback time for when they beat us over those two legs in 2018.

I wish him all the best. When he first arrived he looked like an amazing talent. He didn’t reach the potential those early appearances suggested, but I’ve always loved his energy.

Just tried to watch the highlights on the BBC website and it had the Blackburn game instead ??

I couldn’t make it to today’s game, but I’ve very happy we beat them and it’s great to hear it was a good performance. Sounds like our young guns had an excellent game.

Gutted that he’s gone. With his pace and power he’s such an exciting player. But this is the way things are for us at the moment and at least it eases some financial pressure. Best wishes Antoine.

That’s how I remember it too. I thought he showed promise in his first game. After that, though, he was absolutely terrible.

I was at the game. Painful viewing. The gulf in class meant that it wasn’t really competitive at all. We also gave them far too much space - in the first half especially our number 8 was repeatedly left to mark two of their players down their right. On the plus side there was no queue for drinks in the sports bar.

Amazing night. I loved visiting Anfield and it was brilliant to get the win there. After Tinman had scored the minutes ticked by very, very slowly. Fantastic scenes when the goal went in and at the end of the game. 29 years ago. Blimey. I feel old.

Weimann stands out for me as well. He’s got a hell of an engine. I was always impressed with Aaron Wilbraham as well - the way he took a battering (and gave as good as he got) for the team.

Yep, he’s getting better and better. Excellent performance today.

First half was lacklustre from City and I thought Blackburn were marginally the better side. I feared the worst when they scored, but City showed resilience to bounce back and overall we deserved to win. It looked a certain penalty to me (happy to stand corrected when I see the highlights) and I was gutted when Bell’s goal was disallowed - it looked like a close call. Overall a decent enough point. We would have lost that game a couple of months ago.
