Very happy to get a draw today. Glad to see Weimann back on the scoresheet. We are finding points hard to come by, so to get one in a game where judging by the stats and what I’ve read on here we struggled is a bonus.
Nothing against him personally, and I know sometimes things don’t work out for players at particular clubs for a variety of reasons. But he was absolutely woeful for City. Up there with the worst players I’ve ever seen in a City shirt (and there have been quite a few!).
Very, very frustrating tonight. We should have won that game. Sheff Utd were there for the taking. One of those games that just didn’t go our way. Unlucky. Onwards and upwards.
We’re so inconsistent, I’m really not sure how this game will go. I’m happy with the starting 11. Fingers crossed we’ll see the good version of City tonight.
I’m expecting a low turnout, the concourses seem quiet.
Young players inevitably are going to have dips in form. But overall I think Scott has been playing well (at home anyway, I don’t get to away games). He plays with huge maturity for his age.
I really rate Pring - committed, physical, and good on the ball. I’m not sure why he’s not been used more, but he certainly made the most of his opportunity today.
Decent performance from City. The back three were excellent and Conway and Wells played well too. After the subs were made we were less effective at pressing and looked less dangerous. Swansea had lots of possession but created very little.
In no particular order:
Automatic For The People - R.E.M
Blood On The Tracks - Bob Dylan
Get Happy - Elvis Costello
Blue - Joni Mitchell
Rain Dogs - Tom Waits
I’ve got hazy memories of City fans waving money at Grobbelaar. He played for Plymouth late in his career, so it was probably when we played against them. But from what I recall it was in an away game, not at AG.
