I thought the ref was really good today - consistent and managed the game well.

Very glad we rescued a point to maintain our unbeaten run. But it was disappointing to see us revert back to the type of performance we saw post-Southampton, especially in the first half. Huddersfield looked more cohesive and aggressive. I thought our passing was poor. We were better second half and were rewarded for plugging away.

Dickie, Max, Knight, Tanner, Vyner.
Difficult to not include James. Sykes too, but like other posters have said he’s faded since his injury. Hopefully back to his best next season. Roberts has impressed me, but hasn’t played enough games to be in contention.

Good win. Nice to give someone a hammering. And another clean sheet. COYR.

Semenyo for me. We’ve been missing his pace and power up front.

He was before my time, but my Dad really rated him. RIP.

Sad to hear that another great character from football has gone.
I remember when he was manager at Doncaster in the 1980s when City beat them to get into the play offs with a late Colin Gordon goal and Joe Kinnear was interviewed after the game, expressing his concern about the pitch invasions.
RIP Joe.

Good away point, but sounds like a dire game and performance.

No Dickie!
Presumably injured? A huge loss, though.

I got stuck at lights yesterday waiting for them to pass. It was a surreal moment but really entertaining and all looked really good natured. Lots of people smiling, which is surely what life is all about. But I didn’t actually know what was going on until I read about it in this thread.

I voted for Dickie and Conway.
Champagne moment for me was Cornick’s goal v Southampton. I wasn’t at the West Ham game so didn’t see Conway’s equaliser live. And I just missed his goal in the home game after getting to the ground late because of a problem with the bus I was on.

I’m glad LM has gone with the same starting 11 as the Leicester game - the players deserved to keep their places. Fingers crossed we play with the same desire and intensity. COYR

I haven’t been there for ages and definitely not since they re-developed the ground. The park behind the away end was often lively and the toilets were like a swamp. One weird memory I have (must have been early 1990s) is when away fans were let out from the gates at the front of the away terrace after the game and had to walk across the pitch to be let out of the ground at the other end.

I was really annoyed with the linesman as well with the penalty not being given for the foul on Conway - it was blatant and right in front of him.

I thought Twine looked rusty (no surprise after so long out) but he was always involved and it’ll be interesting to see how he plays in the remaining games.

Really enjoyed that. An excellent win and a good performance from City. We rode our luck with those sitters you’d normally expect Vardy to score (great saves by Max, though), but we had lots of chances, should have had a penalty and were good value for the win.

I’ve got a feeling we’ll get something out of today’s game.

We shouldn’t sign Twine

Based on what I’ve seen of him I’m not convinced, especially for what would presumably be a significant outlay (even just wages). He has seemed lightweight and mainly peripheral in games. Yes he was out for a while injured and might have struggled with match fitness, but he hasn’t made the impact I was hoping for.
