Just seen the highlights. Great finish from Conway after an excellent pass from Williams. Great to see the celebrations in the away end. COYR!

My son’s game kicks off at 2pm, so I’ll be keeping an eye on the City score whilst watching him. Gutted I couldn’t make it to today’s game. Hopefully City will put in a good performance to reward everyone who has travelled, especially those fans who have had nightmare journeys on the trains.

Definitely, it was played every time City won.
It was still played after we won in the mid-80s too.

Yep. City kit man forgot the kit and had to borrow Northamptons away strip.
Yes, late 1980s. I remember seeing the goals on the local news. I think we won 3-2 or 3-1 and Scott McGarvey scored.

I can’t remember the brand, but I remember having to loop the laces around the bottom of my boots before tying them because they were so long. I used to love doing that.
My first shin pads were terrible, made of bamboo from what I remember.

A true City legend. There can’t be many players who’ve played in both the top and bottom division with the same club. I only caught the latter part of his career, but he was still one of my favourite players.
I wasn’t at the 2-1 win at Eastville in 1983 (I remember very clearly listening to the radio commentary with my dad and dancing around the living room when Hirst scored the winner), but I love the footage of that game and the way he celebrated his goal.
Happy birthday, Tom.

I miss it when the teams ran out from the tunnel separately, with the opposition getting booed.

Losing 5-1 at Blackpool in the early 2000s and 7-0 at Swansea in Tinnion’s last game as manager were both truly dreadful games.
-
City were dull in the first half and woeful in the second. We got worse as the half went on. The Millwall goal had a sense of inevitability about it.
We had a real lack of quality today.

£35 quid as well for a ticket in the away end which given the time of year seems a little bit strong
That’s a horrific price to charge fans.

Fascinating to watch.
Blimey, goalkeepers certainly took a beating in those days!

Happy New Year fellow reds.

A decent point at Birmingham will look even better if we get a win tomorrow. Looking forward to the game, even though I’ll probably have a hangover.

We’ll be going into the game full of confidence while Birmingham are in a slump, but this division is so crazy tonight’s game easily could go either way. I’d like to think we can at least extend our unbeaten run.

I remember my dad taking me in there before games when I was a young child. I didn’t go in there much as an adult, it always looked so busy I thought it’d take ages to get served. I vaguely remember being in the garden on a boiling hot day listening to City fans exchanging insults with away fans who were on the other side of the fence in the park.

Excellent win, and sounds like a good performance too. COYR!

Merry Christmas fellow reds. My thoughts are especially with anyone going through a tough time or missing loved ones. And I’ll raise a glass to my Dad, who loved City.

I have always felt supportive of the Lansdowns. But my faith in the regime has been shaken by two things:
1 - How Mark Ashton and LJ were seemingly allowed to spend many flagrantly, leading to a bloated squad and financial constraints that had us in a real mess.
2. The sacking of NP….or at least the narrative that went with it. Top 6 squad? Do they really believe that?
What do I want to happen? I really don’t know. Part of me thinks fresh impetus is needed. Part of me worries about what new owners would be like. But the balance has certainly tipped to the former.

That is such devastatingly sad news. RIP and my thoughts go out to his family.

Very pleased with the win tonight. I couldn’t make it to the game (I hate missing games ) but listened on the radio and feared the worst when they were ahead. Credit to the team for the comeback. COYR.

I got mine and my kids’ season ticket seats tonight using my laptop. No problems. But it’s not good that it’s not been as easy for so many fans.
