What an absolute bellend !
Driving past a shop with some shite music playing - I bet that had everyone running for cover !!!
To be fair I feel like running for cover whenever I hear that shite song.

I was thinking about this. When Wonga get it, I wonder how much Sainsbury's could buy it for?
I would like it to stay as a war memorial but it would be hilarious if Wonga sold it to Sainsbury's on the cheap.

Taken from Slagchat...
Other money could come from charities such as Help for Heroes and the RBL
Oh look the Gas now want charities to pay for them to have a stadium. But it is ok because they will let them use the gym for free. Despicable and shameless, such a horrible little club.

Thing is, this is about plan C already !
What happened to the student flats at the Minimal, seems like only yesterday they were all off to Cheltenham to choose their season ticket seats whilst their ground was to be developed!!!
I had forgotten that they were going to go to Cheltenham for a season while the Mem was redeveloped.

Tbh really delighted with this. A war memorial remains
I wonder how much longer the war memorial will last though? From what I gather, Rovers secured their Wonga loan with the stadium, if they go into administration I am not sure that the loansharks will care about preserving a war memorial, they will be looking to sell as quickly as possible in order to get their money.

They get funnier and funnier, just saw this posted on Facebook.

Right so sainsburys acted legally but certainly not morally. Why don't we do the same let's fill a sainsburys car park of choice full of gasheads before opening and then when they open all enter the store. Fill our trolleys full of goodies and make our way to the check outs let the cashier put all the good through the till and then drop the bombshell that it is far to expensive and walk out the shop. None of this is illegal and they couldn't do a thing about it.

They would struggle to fill a car let alone a car park.

From their forum:
It really does seem then that a big company can lie and pretend to be wanting to do one thing whilst all the time doing the complete opposite!
Perhaps we now need to find a way to mobilise the whole football supporting public to stop using Sainsbury's.Yeah the whole football world is going to change supermarket because the 15ers can't manage to draw up a decent contract.

My boss is a gashead and earlier in the year he was talking to somebody about NLBR (as they were then) and I heard him mention that "I shouldn't talk about Rovers should I, BS2 Red hates them", quick as a flash I replied "I don't hate Rovers, I just feel sorry for them".
The look of pain on his face when he realised I pitied them was far better than saying I hated them.
And yes he refers to me by my forum username.

I would have thought this was unlikely though purely down to the fact that the gas are unlikely to be able to afford anymore litigation or take out any more Wonga loans. Unless you know of any lawyers prepared to do it pro bono
I know he loves charity but not even Bono would help the Gas.

If buying football clubs was like Storage Hunters, how upset would you be if you opened the Bristol Rovers bin??
I would keep the bin and throw the contents away.

Higgs trying to create intrigue? Makes me believe, as someone has posted earlier, he's already learned that the Sainsbury's verdict won't go in his favour and he's trying to put some upbeat story out to his many thousands of followers before they shortly get to learn the devastating truth that the contract wasn't watertight after all.
The spokesman said the board of directors had "made no secret of their intention" to secure investment in the club.
"If a potential buyer were to approach us with the right offer, made for the right reasons, we would obviously consider this offer," he said.
"At this moment in time there has been no offer. However, this situation may change in the future."
He said the club had a "very clear, ambitious plan to move the club forward" and was "actively looking for new directors with expertise".
They have a "very clear, ambitious plan to move the club forward"?

No he is right, to be fair; are any other clubs called the Pirates?
There are quite a few teams (although not football other than Orlando Pirates),
Pittsburgh Pirates are probably the most well known.

Why would American's want to invest in Bristol Rovers? Even as an asset strip they are not likely to make any money.

Ladies & Gents please take a couple of minutes out of your busy lives & enjoy...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCaqXS-_O4Y
I couldn't make it to the end of the video. Wow, the fans of that club get worse and worse.

Stadium funding issue solved
Jun 16, 2015 at 9:01am via mobile mehewmagic, 2nd May 1990 and 1 more like this.
If you have any old foreign currency that are just collecting dust in a cupboard, why not put them in the coppers for the club collection tins at the stadium, at the matchday SC hut, or 199? On their own they will not be worth anything, but the SC can get large quantities converted into cash for the share scheme.
I was right earlier then, they are just a parody site/club.

I am starting to think that Gaschat is a parody site. Or that Rovers are just a parody club.

The UWE is dead and won't happen the sooner those thick inbreds realise this the better
This cas is about Higgs getting his investment back before he ***** off to Italy nothing more nothing less
Agreed, I can't see there is any way that they will manage to go through with the UWE plans. They will be at the Mem for quite a while yet and I am actually looking forward to reading about whatever their next bullshit harebrained scheme is!

This picture was posted by an idiot on my Facebook.
I assume they are talking about the rugby, but the whole image makes no sense at all. They really have no idea how to make funny/relevant images.

I think Norwich ought to have a parade for making it to the Premier League, but the fact that they are not makes the 15'ers little party look even more pathetic!

Can it get any lower than having the Daily Mirror laughing at you?

As a point of fact, both Bristol City and Bristol Eastville Rovers turned professional in 1897, the year both clubs joined the Southern League. The claim that the are the oldest professional club in Bristol is another lie.
Also, City first joined the Football League in 1901 and Rovers joined in 1920.
Of course since then Rovers have become non-League and so have only been members of the Football League since 2015.

So we celebrated promotion on the waterfront with passionate speeches from Steve Lansdown, Steve Cotterill and spent let little Oscar have his moment in the spotlight for being a little trooper, and the gas celebrate as the manager swears at the opposition and their striker gets his knob out. Yep, that's Bristol Rovers for you folks.
"Family club".
