Have these t**ts sold any of their players fro £14,000,000 yet this week??

    Uncle TFR

Their best player couldn't find another club this summer and he was available on a free, it's cheaper to buy a player at the Mem than it is to buy a sausage roll. :rofl2br:

Then stop quoting me, but you see it is a concern to me that so many lives are being lost to talking bullocks to another Football Club, who btw are no longer non league basement but are Bristol based, some of the hate fueled comments is very indicative of a mindset that is based on no other reasons other than a ridiculous 'tribal' near neighbour conflict that has long disappeared  in a society that has evolved.

Clearly some are still struggling with evolution, this is one reason we won't see top flight football at AG for longer than some would like, it is counter productive negative and very childish, just the sort of attitudes SL is trying to counter.

However I don't expect many to stop and think , merely to carry on regardless, because that is the nature of the beast, it's difficult to actually change behaviour, but it might be a start if the Mods took away their toys..

You're right, this thread is the reason that City are not in the Premier League. :rofl2br:

I am totally bored with all this obsession, much of it nasty, about Rovers.

I come on to Otib to learn and comment about all things City.

You come here to comment about all things City but decided instead to post in the Bristol Rovers thread?  :rofl2br:

Please God - Bristol City vs Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup - our under 21s would turn that shower of shite over - pathetic football, pathetic ground and pathetic fans.

Thank god I was born on the sunny south side of the river !!

That's never going to happen, it would require the 15ers to win two games!

They would claim that they're a "family club", but given the frequency of violence at their games it does have a hollow ring to it.

The nub of it seems to be that they are a smaller and less successful club which means that they are liked more by fans of other clubs.

And this is true as smaller clubs are more popular with other fans: for example do you prefer Man Utd or Carlisle?

The logical conclusion to this, if being "liked" is so important to them, is to go back to being non-league.  If they were doing a Torquay and flirting with the Conference South then they would be very popular. You might even get a few City fans watching them as the rivalry would be non-existent at that point.

Usually the smaller team is more liked, but I'm not sure that's true with the 15ers. They seem to think so, but fans of other clubs that have had to play them seem to dislike them.

To be fair I've always said the best thing about that lot is the fact they can still stand on a terrace and watch football.

I wouldn't mind being able to do that, apart from that there is nothing about that club that I would even think about swapping with them.

I can stand when watching my son's school team play football but I wouldn't consider them a serious rival to Bristol City (well maybe they would have been in the Pulis days ;) ).

I've always said the sags are a dense lot but for them to confuse mocking with jealousy is taking the biscuit, even for them.

That's what I just can't understand. What exactly are we supposed to be jealous of?

About the only thing they had over us was the quality of pie on offer and they don't even have that now. :D

  8. I would rather have two crappy tent stands because people want to watch Rovers than have open spaces where they stand because we've become a sh** Conference side that manages a 3000 crowd on a good day.

The future is looking good for our club, I reckon the new stadium is going to happen, along with the training ground and facilities. Just imagine how brilliant it will feel sitting in the new stadium and comparing it with the Mem.

Imagine the bile and spiteful, jealous hatred emanating from the open sewer sh**-house that it Ashton Gate.

Can't wait. It will be so sweet

Well that's just plain wrong: and nonsense. Commercial constructions are liable to VAT: plus he/she ignores that most or all of the VAT is probably reclaimble anyway!

Knowing them they think that HMRC ought to let them off of the tax bill, they play in famous quarters don't you know.

A comment on the Facebook article of that story:

"Dear Marvin Rees, here's an idea, why don't you cancel the Bristol Arena and use the money to build a covered stadium/arena with UWE and BRFC that can be used for multiple types of events every day of the year" ???"

They always want something for nothing don't they? Why should the Mayor of Bristol pay for something in South Glos?

What a great idea, spend Bristol Arena's money on the UWE site outside Bristol!

Talking of their stadium I work near the downs and that new Williams stand is a massive eyesore on what was a lovely view down the avon gorge.

Horrible white meccano looking thing, urgh. Although i'll reserve judgement until we play them in the league next season..

    Any relation to Tilly?

While I think he is wrong that we will be relegated, I'll give this one credit for not getting so carried away as to predict another promotion for the 15ers.

What with the magnificent ST sales (over 4k now), a top 6 budget, loadsamoney for transfers, sell out crowds, not enough corporate boxes, new stadium on the horizon, when is it all going to end ?

2018 might be too soon but they must be nailed on winners for the 2022 World Cup.

I was told that all hospitality boxes (West Stand) are sold out for next season.

The only match-day hospitality you will be able to book is a meal and seat in the East Stand.

Will 34 boxes be enough for us when we move to the UWE, or should we plan more?

Oh the gift is still giving.

I can't believe they still think UWE is going ahead, let alone that they might need more than 34 boxes.

They will need hundreds or maybe even thousands to cope with all the corporates that are locked outside.

Looks like the new stadium for the lock-out lads might take a bit longer than expected.

Rumours that Wally is looked at tarting up the Mem as the offers to finance the new build aren't as plentiful as hoped. And for a billionaire he doesn't seem to want to pay for it himself. Which if this was the great investment you'd think he would be all over it. Maybe this explains the lack of investors interested.....

What you forget is that they will be able to buy a billion pound tent this time.

  15. "@Scotty_Murray @ThatBloke0101 @StadiumUWE we did get one at Wembley last season. Oh and winning the title when #bristolscum came 2nd."

He's referring to getting a trophy the season we achieved automatic promotion when they sneaked up in the playoffs after finishing 7th in League Two. #gaslogic
