Final appearances at AG for Kalas, DaSilva and Scott, you'd have thought...
That's what was said about Massengo this time last season.

It's an especially weak league this season. Watched Millwall v Birmingham last night and couldn't believe Millwall were anywhere near the top 6 never mind in it.
I think you need to differentiate between a side that plays attractive football and one that is effective. We look good on the eye at times but are not effective at getting results. Millwall probably the opposite.
I'd rather watch my team try to play but my god it can be frustrating when we can't take chances and switch off once or twice at the back in a game.

However we are not far off. We have to sort out our CBs have a ball winner or two in the middle and improve our shooting all over the pitch.
Worth remembering too that we had Pring at CB and King in midfield due to the injury situation.

This sounds very similar to the home game. They have taken six points playing carp in both games.

Is it just coincidence that his form has picked up as he approaches the end of his contract? It may be unfair but I've seen enough players suddenly improve at AG, get a new contract then coast. COD comes to mind.
I don't know JD so he may not be the type but I can't help being a bit cautious as he hasn't been a match for Pring who was a much cheaper option.

What's that a house and a shed.
Well, my parent's three bed semi in BS3 was worth 30% more than my four bed detached on the edge of Exeter when I sold up a few years ago.

I reckon if you sold Bolton you couldn’t buy one in Exeter.
As a Bristolian who has lived in Exeter I can tell you if you sold up in Bristol you could probably buy two in Exeter (well maybe 1.5).

Just watched Match of the Day, Wow ! and I watched the first half.
First disallowed goal. All season you're told the short shirt sleeve is the cut off, harsh but you could say they had to turn it over as the Lino had given H/B.
2nd one is farcical . Clips his thigh and looks clear of a hand.
The first Pen. H/B looked a Pen to me, but couldn't see clearly.
Distinct lack of outrage from Lineker and co. As it was Brighton they couldn't get too excited about it. If that had been Leicester otoh...

If I was a QPR fan I would be fearing the worst. Will be surprising if they can halt the plummet in form in time to save themselves.

Good news, thanks NTDS.

I’m sure @TBW will give a better explanation of the rules, but in basketball they’ve penalised the deliberate foul on transition (breakaway). You get free-throws and possession back. Player gets an “unsportsmanlike” foul, two of those and ejected from the game.
A sin bin would be a good move for football imo.
That kind of professional foul that has become acceptable could be say 15 mins off the field.
It probably isn't proportionate to make it a sending off and players will share it around so they only get one yellow. If the punishment was a temporary time down to ten men that may be enough disadvantage to stop it.

Vyner's pass completion stats would be amazing today - if he was a Swansea player.

Where do you expect us to finish this season in terms of a points total?
I don't see us being anything but mid-table now so the only target left really is to get as many points as possible.
I will go for 57. Over to you for your thoughts.

Can't help thinking that some of the comments on here about AS are a bit OTT. Yes, he is clearly a good young player. Talk of him playing for a Top 4 PL club is a bit premature imho.
He might get there but he needs to improve a lot to be at that level. His goals and assists need to improve and he needs more consistency with his final ball and decision making.
Obviously it is great to have a good young player in our side but we need to be a bit realistic about what he's worth. Talk of him reaching £100m one day is getting a bit silly. He only just scored his first league goal of a season where he has generally been in an AM role.

Maybe Nige is looking to the future and just wants to give Bell as much experience as possible this season. We aren't realistically going up or down so we need to get Bell ready to help us push on next season imo.

A bit worrying that goals have dried up recently. Ironic that has been covered up by two pens.

If SL has anyone interested in investing in the club they may prefer a bit of flexibility around the manager. 18 months left, no rush to commit to another 3 years yet is there?

Maybe it was trickier for those buying for multiple members in one transaction
This was my issue. Have family who is a member and I've bought tickets for us both online this season. When I tried to assign a ticket to him it said he didn't qualify. When I searched for him to add to my list it said he didn't exist - although I have assigned tickets to him before this season. So, ITV it is

Went on sale at 0958 rather than 1000 on the dot.
Explains why when I tried buying selected seats at 9:59 it said they were no longer available. Refreshed and 100+ available seats in E32 had gone to 1 at 10:01. Nothing anywhere beyond single seats or family by 10:02. So, stuffed by believing they would go on sale at the advertised time and will have to watch on TV.

Sorry if this has been answered previously on this thread. Are all the Upper Lansdown wings family ticket areas only? I can see the robin on the ticket map over those blocks but it doesn't explain what that means and isn't mentioned in the club FAQs.
If so, seems a big chunk of the free seats which members who don't have kids are excluded from buying.

Unfortunately and I don’t agree with it at all , this is what we’d be getting charged if we ever get promoted. Think I saw at the start of the season , Fulham are charging £100 per ticket in their new stand for some games.
Yet PL clubs seem to have no issues selling tickets. So called cost of living crisis doesn't seem to stop fans paying these inflated prices.

I think SL will expect this from Nige after 3 years too. I'm not sure he will extend his contract if we aren't in with a shout of top 6, rather than where we are now. I'm sure he looks at other clubs and sees what is possible. If Nige doesn't achieve a step improvement in league position I feel his chance may be gone.
