  1. Pretty sure he said there was nothing, but we’d keep talking to them.
  2. Yep…although it’s likely to be 9 or 10 Sat 3pm home games. The only caveat to the table below is that @phantom posted something yesterday about embargo dates, so we might be one home game better off than the table below.
  3. Yep, been saying it for ages. He’s often been the guy trying to inject a bit of tempo into our passing, but in trying to “force it” he sometimes has games where his passing is off.
  4. Imho Christian Walton is a far better (old-fashioned) goalkeeper than Hladky, but he’s nowhere near as good with his feet. It’s seems the odd cock-up by Hladky is fine in the bigger picture of how they play. Gives me kittens though!
  5. Doesn’t that lessen your enjoyment, John? Thought you were all for the travel?
  6. I miss the studio / studio guest bit of the C5 show. I think they missed a big trick. Especially when you can watch the 2 mins highlights on sky / YouTube without waiting to 9pm. I liked the post-match punditry from people like Sam Parkin and Jobi McAnuff (now lost to sky), and also the NTT20 guys, George and Ali. Wasn’t overload, had it just right imho.
  7. No, I was asked what his book value is which if his fee was £4m, then it’s £2m, now. That can’t go up. It can only down as a result of an impairment. His market value (completely different) to Burnley was £5m in January.
  8. Yep, brilliant to watch, but as a defender, WTAF also!
  9. Incredible. Wide, wide, open
  10. Please explain what that means to an old’un?
  11. Don’t let Leif Davis cut it back. Dont let Omari Hutchinson cut in on his left foot. Come on! Every bloody game!
  12. £4m signing / half way through a 4 year deal so £2m.
  13. There were very good reasons why they were keen to move him in January, because there were benefits of them placing Zourahy on loan in this country. So it was nice that we were interested in Twine, as that facilitated Zourahy’s move to Hull. Win:Win for Burnley, and nothing to do with Burnley not wanting Twine.
  14. Ask me when we know the fate of each division. Rudoni if they go down is an obvious shout. I don’t think Miyoshi is anything like Twine / Azaz, but Rudoni is. We aren’t (imho) looking for a winger / dribbler type to play no10 (hence why I wasn’t fawning over Millar in your other thread), we are looking for a clever passing type no10. We have Mehmeti as the dribbler-type, Sykes too, although he’s a bit different. Where do you get that notion from?
  15. That was at Leicester and Hull…where of course his good mate Steve Walsh was his Head of Recruitment and Coach. At Bristol City he set the processes and profiling up, but as Gilhespy said, he then let them get on with finding the players, he empowers people. He did go and watch players though, but he also wasn’t gonna trawl video, like Manning will. Pros and cons to each approach. +++++ 1) Always behind the team / club…but 2) don’t like the way one or two operate. I don’t think 1 or 2 will ever be any different.
  16. Over the past two seasons prior to this, we managed to to turn 4 losses each season into draws. 20/21 base: W15-D6-L25-Pts51 21/22 15-10-21-55 22/23 15-14-17-59 23/24 17-11-17-62 (one game to go) @mozo will know I’d love us to win next week to get that winning season (more wins than loses), but what we’ve done so far is turn 2 of those draws into wins. Lets be bullish and say we end 18-11-17-65 you're only talking about turning two losses into wins to break 70+ points.
  17. I guess some market knowledge will come from knowing Azaz was £2.5m in a winter window, which typically is overpriced. So hope that there are other affordable targets if they can’t acquire Twine. But you can bet they are gonna bloody try!
  18. Ah, that’s where it came from…had a few WhatsApp’s without saying who from. Ta
  19. It can be just bollocky titles, but generally the DoF would manage / control the budgets, the whole football operation, etc. What we’ve got is Tom Rawcliffe doing some of that (Football Operations and Football budgets) with some support from Gavin Marshall, whereas Tins is looking after the Recruitment Team, amongst other things. If that makes sense. Keith Burt was the last DoF, even then I think he didn’t have all the Operations stuff under him.
  20. Not today you don’t. He was really good.
