  1. Always wondered this, if say it’s the World Cup final and you see x opposition player on the break about to score in the 95th minute, why not just run on the pitch and get in goal? Shocked it’s not happened more often

  2. As has been said, Cunninghams studs down the ankle on Wells left him bleeding with obvious signs of what had happened, actual visible rake marks all down his shin.. obviously deliberate on rewatch.. so nothing?? The consistency is insane.

It’s a bit odd to consider fans in one stand to be older or more dedicated than in another. I moved from the Dolman to the Lansdown after the rebuild, for the better view (no sun in your eyes) better legroom and newer facilities. I’m sure that is true of many others. It’s a better experience in the new stand, that’s for sure.

I am, of course, massively generalising as has to be done when talking about n thousand people. I don’t think it can be questioned that the Lansdown has specifically been catered to family’s, at least, at a minimum, considerably more so than the Dolman(?)

  4. I’d say E31, far more authentic and less sanitised, you can walk from the Dolman to the Lansdown pre game / half time to experience the whole stadium. Whilst the games on, in my opinion, being with the older/‘dedicated’ fans is a better bet. Although, if it’s a poor game there’ll be far more moaning in the Dolmsn, massively generalising but they ‘care more’.

We’ve had yet another poor and disappointing season and would of lost our two best players in Semenyo and Scott come August, the summer transfer window is going to be our biggest in living memory, hopefully NP can pull it off

I think we’ve had a pretty good season, the biggest negative for me is the fitness department re amount of injuries, but a lot have been impact (unsure how much can be attributed to bad luck).

I was just thinking back to the game in our promotion season against MK Dons in which he played. One of the best games i have seen at AG.

With Mehmeti, I can see why we signed him.  I see effort and skill but limited output that we (and he) can maybe address. With Harry Cornick, I can't see anything positive in his play and remain at a loss to understand what our scouts were able to see that I can't.

To be fair, our forwards have not been receiving much support from midfield of late and I have noticed with Cornick that when he gets the ball, there seems to be little on for him in that there is nobody around him getting into space or any easy/obvious passes on.

From a formation perspective, I really don't know what suits us best.  It seems that when we change it, it seems to work, then in a couple of games the other teams work us out, so we may need to keep them guessing and mix it up a bit (even though it's nice to see a settled team and formation in an ideal world).

This season is probably a write off now and we need to concentrate on building something for bext year (probably without Alex Scott but with one or two incoming to improve things).  The frustrating thing is that the next few games would have been so much more exciting had we not thrown away some of the matches we should have got points from and been 8 or 9 more points further up the table.

Massively oversimplifying but he’s an upgrade on Martin, age wise if nothing else, and I assume the scouts must at a minimum believe he can equal Martins output + additional years. I’d say that counts as an upgrade, although arguably not much of one. However, we are where we are, we won’t be signing a top Championship striker, marginal upgrades is what we’re looking at at the moment, and I think, medium term, he will be one.

Players generally cut holes in their socks in order to reduce pressure on the calf muscles, which are often restricted by the form-fitting, snug nature of the garment.

For players who have bulging leg muscles, socks can prove particularly restrictive, causing difficulties with effective bloodflow and circulation, as well as breathability.

Therefore, players will often move to cut up their socks, in order to remove the problem and help improve their game.

    Okay mr gpt ?

I'll be 50 in a couple of years so am loving the innappropriateness here, bless you. I may have had two bottles of superb Portuguese red, so what are you expecting, biting analytical discourse, or reactionary emotional flight of fantasy ??‍♂️

I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t this

On TV it had a feel of non league.

The small ground, the odd camera position, the camera man or woman wiping the lens every 5 mins, the clear sound of the home coaching staff constantly effin and blindin at their players, the ball apparently being kicked over the stand out of the stadium (?), the bad weather making for a physical long ball match, the weird stands with weird advertising boards. Remind you of anywhere else?

Through the smeared lens the pitch looked fine which is something I suppose.

Exactly what you want as a player, get in to ‘flow’ and focus on your teams tactics instead of trying to counter the opposition. Don’t worry about anything else other than playing your game, only paying attention to your own groups tactics. That’s one negative I can say about Nige, as in, I expected him to be the same.

Assuming you tried Aliexpress, I always vouch for DHGate myself.

Aliexpress < Alibaba (B2C focused, loose verification, marginally cheaper, generally, due to B2C)
DHGate (B2B focused, standard verification, marginally more expensive, generally, due to B2B (unless buying wholesale))

Too early to judge, but not sure whether the ‘only buy players if they’re better than what we have’ mantra applies in this instance. At best, is he not a 1/5 or 1/6 striker?

I know Nige said he thinks he can improve him, but we’ve an Academy of youngsters that are ‘for improvement’. Think if we’re buying a 28 year old he should be oven ready personally. But then, I’ve never really got our Club’s transfer strategy and the lack of a decent scouting network.

Scoring 9 goals in 45 games is better than most of our strikers, I also think Luton spread their goals out (although I haven’t checked the stats).

  13. A bit of a nibble, not much of one, although surprised the chairman didn’t rise above it. Luton are doing well at the moment, fair play to the club. Thought the fans acted pretty small time / tinpottery, we’re another club that’s done a lot of nothing, did we act the same way when we got to the Championship play off final? I don’t remember so, I don’t overly blame them mind, but surprised to see the vilification of Cornick when you’re 4th and winning, they seemed genuinely angry/bitter.
