A bit of a nibble, not much of one, although surprised the chairman didn’t rise above it. Luton are doing well at the moment, fair play to the club. Thought the fans acted pretty small time / tinpottery, we’re another club that’s done a lot of nothing, did we act the same way when we got to the Championship play off final? I don’t remember so, I don’t overly blame them mind, but surprised to see the vilification of Cornick when you’re 4th and winning, they seemed genuinely angry/bitter.

How much would we get to spend? And what should it be spent on?

Hasn’t looked good so far but there’s no way I’ll be judging him so quickly, Mehmeti is a rare occurrence of a player settling in to a new club immediately. Luton fans were sad to see him go and, clearly from this evening, they must know if he’s half decent.

They’ve been miles better than us, but we haven’t had much change out the ref have we?
Thought we’ve been quite lucky overall, Pring could’ve got himself sent off

I need help working out my least favourite from this lot:
O’Neills yellow flying cartoon bird
o’neills cheap and nasty looking red pin stripe
comic sans training wear
# hashtag
gold and navy for a cup final
that David Cotterill thing
the “champagne” coloured kit from cotterill’s time.
all things TFG
I’m sure there are more but what’s clear is our kit design ideas are poor…. Anyone else for big brand templates??
Couldn’t think of anything worse!
*okay maybe quarters!
**assumed my replies would’ve been auto merged, alas

Yeah my home shirt is already on the way
Let me know how they are, I never buy kits myself but the away kit is somewhat iconic considering the crest.

I think this is massively OTT now, yes JL isn’t competent (if he’s actually in control of this), yes the quality looks marginally worse around some hems, but the home shirt looks lovely and the ‘washed out’ yellow is pretty much identical (colour wise) to our old yellow kit, with the Robin badge on it, I like it.

Barton blames their 10 home losses on the bad pitch, surely that’ll give them an advantage as they’re used to it and the away teams only play there once? #gaslogic #madeforeachother

Which is?
I guess most people will say “no10”. I say Centre Midfield.
FWIW Nige’s answer was very good.
8 (ish) isn’t it, who says 10

Re the stock image of the robin, I don’t endorse the show but, if it is a choice by JL, it very much reminds me of Little Britain / Andy.. “no, I want that one”.

2023 has fully gone too far. Sexual assault, whatever next. I can’t explain why it’s not sexual but i would not think it was sexual in the slightest if someone done this to wind me up on a football pitch. Very bizarre and wouldn’t do it myself but i wouldn’t think for one second it was sexual
Bet you wouldn’t be saying that if someone kissed your wife at work to wind her up

Side issue - why was our game on Sky today? Bit of an odd pick, no?
Assuming it was picked a few months ago when they thought we could well be in a relegation battle

Just get them to put your cup inside another cup, stops it from being flimsy, not quite got the feel of a glass though.

Apparently people go on a register for visiting sites like this
It’s via SkyBet isn’t it? Might’ve been a **** up their end & sent an email to the fans of the wrong Bristol club

Still rate MM due to 7(?) years of keeping Ipswich up whilst spending under 3m, and then getting relegated the season he was ****** off, must have been doing something right.

Would the kit supplier have control or influence over the font we use in our social media or on our own TV coverage scoreboard? Seems a slightly odd power to give the kit supplier. I suspect it's a simultaneous change rather than directly linked to O'Neills.
I’d assume it’s related as it’s happened at the exact time we changed kit, you could argue that they’re the only common denominator, but it’s possible that City had planned this anyway and brought it forward .

But we've gone the other way. Most of this season we used a bold, block, sans serif font. Then recently we've switched to the thin, serif font we're discussing here. So are we going against the tide?
I’d argue that yes, we are, although I think it’s an attempt from the new supplier to be ‘modern’, where as our old font was actually more modern than the new one. Not that I know the brand strategy for either company but that’s what I’d surmise from the limited info available.

I'm prepared for a whoosh here, but where is this changed font that is being discussed?
The new kit manufacturer branding, I’ve seen it on social posts & the scoreboard myself. Assuming it’s part of the contract that we use their font for public facing content:

JCH at Posh, that Welsh **** at Luton. Not exactly churning out top level talent are they?
Only got a couple gas mates but both were happy to see the back of Lockyer, shows what they know (and me if I’m being honest, I agreed). Although they were probably bitter, whilst I just don’t watch the gash.

Picked up again after an awful few months, think they blew automatics then, unless Plymouth bottle it

Scoring 9 goals in 45 games is better than most of our strikers, I also think Luton spread their goals out (although I haven’t checked the stats).
