Looking forward to the first camel race at UWE.
Perhaps they thought they were investing in the UAE?

It gets better....my delusional brother in law (who is a very sad sag) moments ago in a phone call crowing to me...I quote;
Him -"How does it feel to know we're as big as Chelsea and Man City now"
Me - "Your not"
Him - "Yes we are he's worth 1.5 Billion"
Me - "No he's not"
Him - "Well I can tell you now put money on us winning League Two next year"
Me - "No you won't"
Him - "Oh fxxk off"...hangs up

More importantly, If £70m is true its very unlikely they will invest any of their own hard earned cash. They will take out loans which will shaft the club in the long run if it doesn't work out.
The glaziers are essentially doing the same thing at man united.
When Man Utd was bought though they had 70k+ stadium and were the world most commercially successful club (and pretty successful on the pitch too) - the debt for them is huge but serviceable.
Marketing the sags and turning a profit is going to be a ridiculously difficult task....I'm sure the Jordanians are eyeing up a new bigger unit in Kingswood tonight probably next to some Charity shop for the new "Megastore"
I can't get my head around how they see this as a good investment other than through land ownership and or building a new stadium and having it as their asset.
The football will be a secondary concern loaded with debt.

Exactly how rich is this bloke then?
Well Abdulkader Abdullah Al-Qadi the head of the family last filed accounts make him worth £331M
Not sure where the Billionaire family tag is coming from, over excited think of a number and triple it from the sags as usual.

not like the gas to talk shit and make figure up is it?
its 1.05 billion and that's the total amount of the banks asests a bank which they only have a 30% stake in
the actual wealth the family have (remember this is only 1 of a few sons) is 70 million
they aren't even the richest club in league 2
So...basically these two are richer than their new owners....

Buying a club is the easy bit, spending your (or venture capitalists money I would assume in this instance) is the hard bit.
It'll be ran as a going concern as the revenue they generate will not make them break even, how long will that wash with the business model they are looking to implement?
So we run at a loss, yes that's a bad thing but we have a fan who understands and is committed to our future.
A few years of losses, not getting things their way and it'll all come down like a house of cards.
Good luck to them (as much as I absolutely detest saying it) I think that they are going to need it.

1-0 up at HT and would take that at FT.
Not the greatest of games so far but if we string a few moves together we will leave this very poor Charlton team behind.
Come on City

Landed in Gatwick about an hour ago from Turin and according to the taxi driver I'm about 30 mins away from Charlton
Had the chance to stay another day and watch AC Milan v Udinese but told my host there's no way in the world I'd miss this (he thought I was crazy)

Tick tock...
Starting to run out of games let alone time.
I want to be positive but after watching that it's bloody hard to be.

It's the level of investment they think they are about to receive from a American/Canadian based consortium.
This has gone up from £55m that I seen at the start of the week.....
Typical of them, think of a number and double it.

Completely random, seems to be not much of a real link other than that note in the paper.
Certainly fits into the head coach ethos though
Makes sense, must be one of the 30 applications.......

Anyone mentioned Gary Neville yet...,,?

Clearly the win would have been well needed to put real space between us and the "bottom" pack of teams but a point from a team that are most likely to be in the Prem next season? Pretty happy with that...
